JM Productions and Rising Stars of Quincy, has announced a unique Broadway concert starring Emmy Award winning & Tony Award nominee, Ms. Liz Callaway. The York Theatre Company will honor musical theater legends Richard Maltby, Jr. & David Shire (Baby, Big, Starting Here, Starting Now, Closer Than Ever) with the 2021 Oscar Hammerstein Award for Lifetime Achievement in Musical Theater and Elisa Loti Stein with The York Theatre Company Founders’ Award at the 29th Oscar Hammerstein Award Gala.

On July 31, join Tony nominated Broadway favorite, Liz Callaway, up close and personal for an evening of beloved songs from Broadway (Cats, Baby), pop, and film (Anastasia) with award-winning Alex Rybeck at the piano.

The York Theatre Company has announced the continuation of its 50th Anniversary Season at its new temporary home at The Theatre at St. Jean’s. Following a devastating flood due to a water main break in January 2021 at its home at Saint Peter’s Church, the company will temporarily relocate to The Theatre at St. Jean’s.

Far from being musical heresy, R&H Goes Pop! instead serves as a reminder of how Rodgers and Hammerstein were at the forefront of musical theatre during their time, and how their music is truly timeless.
