The Public Theater has revealed the cast for the Free Shakespeare in the Park production of Public Works’ THE TEMPEST, a new musical adaptation.

Filmed at The Richard Rodgers Theatre on Broadway in June of 2016, “Hamilton” features Tony Award winners Lin-Manuel Miranda as Alexander Hamilton; Daveed Diggs as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson; Renée Elise Goldsberry as Angelica Schuyler; Leslie Odom, Jr. as Aaron Burr; and more. Hosted by Jimmy Fallon, “That’s My Jam” is an hourlong music and comedy variety game show that draws inspiration from the most popular “Tonight Show” games. Anything’s Possible is a modern Gen Z coming-of-age story that follows Kelsa, a confident high school girl who is trans, as she navigates through senior year. Renée Elise Goldsberry (Hamilton; The Color Purple; Girl5eva) will host the 66th Annual Drama Desk Awards! This year’s Drama Desk Awards will take place at Sardi’s (234 W 44th Street) on June 14th from 3:00 – 6:00pm.

The film stars Renée Elise Goldsberry, Eva Reign, and Abubakr Ali. The film will feature music by Leo Birenberg. Anything’s Possible is a modern Gen Z coming-of-age story that follows Kelsa, a confident high school girl who is trans, as she navigates through senior year. The unique summer gala took place on the Delacorte Lawn in Central Park, and featured performances by Renée Elise Goldsberry, Oscar Isaac, Norm Lewis, Kimber Elayne Sprawl, and more, as well as special appearances by Danai Gurira and Lin-Manuel Miranda.

The series stars Mark Ruffalo as Smart Hulk, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/the Abomination, and Benedict Wong as Wong. The cast also includes Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Jameela Jamil, Jon Bass and Renée Elise Goldsberry. Executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Kat Coiro and Jessica Gao.

The Public Theater announced today that The Public’s Annual Gala, GALA ON THE GREEN, will take place on Tuesday, May 24 at The Delacorte Theater, kicking off the 60th Anniversary season of Free Shakespeare in the Park.
