The Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust has announced the names of the two outstanding early-to-mid-career playwrights who will be celebrated with 2022 Steinberg Playwright Awards in the amount of $100,000 each. This year’s recipients of the “Mimi” Awards are James Ijames and Lloyd Suh.
The Joyce Theater Foundation will continue its championing of burgeoning choreographic voices in the seventh iteration of its American Dance Platform. Hand-picked by celebrated dance maker Ronald K. Brown, three companies representing the best in dance from across the country will each perform twice at The Joyce Theater from January 10-15.

Theatre Aspen (Jed Bernstein, Producing Director) announced that Avaaz by Michael Shayan and Sally: A Solo Play by Sandra Seaton have received grants from the Solo Flights Project Advancement Fund. Each playwright, whose work was just presented at the 2022 Solo Flights Festival, will receive a $10,000 grant to support their piece's further development.
