MTV announced the categories and nominees for the '2013 MTV Movie Awards', honoring the actors and films that enthralled and electrified audiences this year. Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain were among the Broadway stars who received nods for their big screen performances.

In celebration of the forthcoming summer blockbuster movie season, MTV today unveiled a six week slate of movie and film themed programming that will culminate with the 2013 MTV MOVIE AWARDS starring Rebel Wilson as host airing live on Sunday, April 14 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT from the Sony Pictures Studios Lot in Culver City, CA.

The Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) announced the winners of the 18th annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards last night.

Tribeca Film, in a partnership with Emerging Pictures, will be bringing Glee star, Chris Colfer's film debut, Struck by Lightning, to theaters nationwide for a one night only special interactive Q&A screening. This special theatrical event will be hosted by cinemas across the country today, January 6th, the same night as the film's red carpet premiere. Fans all over the U.S. will be virtually united and given the unique chance to see the high school comedy in theaters before its January 11th release date.

MTV will unleash rising superstar, Rebel Wilson, on the "MTV Movie Awards" live on April 14, 2013. Known for her groundbreaking and hilarious performances in the hit movies Bridesmaids and most recently Pitch Perfect, Wilson will star in the role of host and redefine the "MTV Movie Awards" with her top secret plans!

With Universal Pictures' Pitch Perfect hitting Blu-ray and DVD this week, news has just reached Movieweb that a sequel is in the works. Skylar Astin told the site that he and fellow star Rebel Wilson are currently in talks with Universal for Pitch Perfect 2.
