In 10th Grade, I was in the chorus of a production of Oklahoma! in the auditorium of my synagogue and it was the best theatrical experience I've ever had. I remember getting home from the closing night cast party and crying myself to sleep. I could cry now putting on the movie or listening to 'The Farmer and the Cowman,' or maybe most of all, if I sing a little bit of the introduction to the title song.

Full casting has been announced for The Bard SummerScape production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma!, directed by Daniel Fish, which is coming to Broadway direct from a critically acclaimed, sold out run at St. Ann's Warehouse this past fall.

This one-night-only benefit will feature performances by Rebecca Luker (Mary Poppins, The Music Man, Show Boat), Rebecca Naomi Jones (Oklahoma, Hedwig and the Angry Inch), Gideon Glick (To Kill A Mockingbird, Significant Other), Christian Dante White (My Fair Lady) Samantha Massell (Fiddler on the Roof), Alysha Umphress (On The Town, Smokey Joe's Cafe), Alexandra Silber (The Woman in White, Fiddler on The Roof), Melanie Moore (Finding Neverland, Hello Dolly!), Adam Kantor (The Band's Visit, Fiddler on the Roof, The Last Five Years), Will Trice (MAC Award Winner), Haley Swindal (Jekyll and Hyde) and Special Guest Star John Cullum (Shenandoah, On The Twentieth). performing unheralded title songs from musicals written by: Richard Rodgers, Alan Jay Lerner, Burton Lane, Stephen Sondheim, Kurt Weill, Harold Rome, John Kander, Fred Ebb, Charles Strouse, and many others!

Vineyard Theatre announced that the 2019 Gala fundraiser will celebrate Tony, Olivier, Drama Desk, and Drama League Award nominated artist and Vineyard Board Member, Colman Domingo. The annual benefit Gala will take place on Monday, May 6, 2019, beginning at 6:30pm at Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street).

The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization presented a special event as part of BroadwayCon, a special cabaret titled "R&H Goes Pop!"

The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization will present two different special events as part of BroadwayCon which is taking place January 11-13, 2019 at New York Hilton Midtown (1335 6th Avenue). The first event is a special cabaret titled 'R&H Goes Pop!' on Friday, January 11th from 6:35-7:30 pm on the main stage at the Hilton. 'R&H Goes Pop!' aims to preserve the legacy of Rodgers & Hammerstein by inspiring artists to interpret the R&H classics in a contemporary light. The cabaret will include Broadway stars performing contemporary takes on classic Rodgers & Hammerstein songs.

Oh what a beautiful day it is for Oklahoma! According to the New York Times, the St. Ann's Warehouse production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Oklahoma, directed by Daniel Fish, will open on Broadway in 2019. Previews will begin on March 19 at the Circle in the Square Theatre, with opening night set for April 7.

Just last night, New York Stage and Film held its annual Winter Gala, featuring performances and appearances by Tony Award nominee and Pulitzer Prize finalist Jon Robin Baitz, Tony Award nominee Santino Fontana, David Forman, Tony Award winner John Gallagher Jr, Grammy Award nominee Rob Hyman, Rebecca Naomi Jones, Screen Actors Guild Award nominee Mozhan Marno, Bonnie Milligan, Manu Narayan, Josh Radnor, Dee Roscioli, Academy Award and Tony Award winner John Patrick Shanley, Grammy Award and Tony Award winner Duncan Sheik, and Obie Award winner Lucy Thurber.
