The Gamm has dipped back into Martin McDonagh’s canon (previous productions include Hangmen, 2023, A Skull in Connemara, 2016), for their latest production–The Cripple of Inishmaan.  Set in the remote Aran Islands, this play shows what feels like a softer side of McDonagh in that it’s a peek into the world of some quirky characters and the neighbors they barely tolerate, but are also woven into every aspect of life.

The Gamm Theatre will present Martin McDonagh's acclaimed play The Cripple of Inishmaan. This production offers audiences a deep dive into the complexities of life on the small Irish island of Inishmaan through the eyes of its quirky inhabitants.

In Gamm Theatre’s captivating production of Stephen Adly Guirgis’s powerful, gritty, Pulitzer Prize-winning play, ‘Between Riverside and Crazy,’ Walter “Pops” Washington is the quintessential example of a man who, despite his age and declining health, holds reign over his marked territory like a lion in the wild that won’t hesitate to ward off any trespasser with force.

Trinity Rep’s production of POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive, is the perfect antidote to politics overload.  This whip-smart, farcical production offers catharsis and the perfect amount of raunchiness, delivered by an across-the-board phenomenal cast.

Twelfth Night is possibly Shakespeare's most brilliant comedy, packed with ribald wordplay, mistaken identities, and revenge, tied up in a tangled web of unrequited love. The slick, energetic production at the Gamm Theatre gets every bit of it. This is a dazzling show, stuffed with talent in every role, and staged with panache. It is Shakespeare made accessible, and it is deliciously funny. Not to be missed.

Trinity Repertory Company opens its 60th Anniversary Season with two plays performed in rotating repertory, both dark dramedies with thematic ties to gender, power, and Arthur Miller's The Crucible.  

Directed with intricacy and precision by Tatyana Marie-Carlo, 'The Inferior Sex' takes place in 1972, when Vietnam, Watergate and women's lib dominated the headlines, and Shirley Chisholm (portrayed with an eloquent ferocity by Jackie Davis), the first Black woman elected to Congress, is making a historic bid for President of the United States.

Trinity Repertory Company continues its 2022-23 Season with the new production The Inferior Sex by Jacqueline E. Lawton, directed by Tatyana-Marie Carlo. The Inferior Sex runs at Trinity Rep in the Dowling Theater from March 16 through April 16, 2023.

Now running through December 18, the production features Jim O'Brien, Jeanine Kane, Rachel Dulude, Jessie March, Dave Rabinow, & Carol Varden.
