Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts have announced the eight-part online interview series, Backstage with MMD: Random Notes & Anecdotes From Productions Directed By Marcia Milgrom Dodge.

Comedy Dynamics will exclusively release the new comedy mockumentary, THE SOCIAL ONES, from executive producers Stephanie March, Danielle Kosann and Laura Kosann, on March 3rd, 2020.

The Hasty Pudding Theatricals, the oldest theatrical organization in the United States, has announced BEN PLATT as the recipient of its 2020 Man of the Year Award, and the youngest ever Man of the Year in the 54 years of the award. The Pudding will present this honor to a Tony, Grammy, and Emmy award-winning actor and musician who has made a meaningful impact on Broadway, television, and film.

In honor of Stephen Sondheim's 90th birthday this year, Scottsdale Musical Theater Company will present Sweeney Todd: In Concert on March 31st and April 1st at the Scottsdale Center for Performing Arts. Winner of seven Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Book and Best Original Score, Sweeney Todd is probably the most impressive and iconic work by Mr. Sondheim.

This coming season, AMERICAN SCOREBOARD, a series of actor-performed, verbatim readings of actual U.S. Congressional hearing transcripts, will once again join forces with HB STUDIO to perform four readings featuring HB students and alumni.  The series will kick-off on Monday, September 16 at 7pm at the HB Playwrights Theatre (124 Bank Street) with a performance of testimony given on March 6, 2019 before the U.S. House Judiciary Committee on Protecting Dreamers and TPS (Temporary Protected Status) recipients.   Admission to the reading is free and reservations can be made at hbstudio.eventbrite.com.

SMTC has announced its cast for Man of La Mancha, led by guest star Peter Scolari who takes on the role of Don Quixote in Man of LaMancha.

HBO will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo mission moon landing with a special encore presentation of the Emmy®-winning 1998 miniseries FROM THE EARTH TO THE MOON.

The New Group presents Jesse Eisenberg's Happy Talk, with Tedra Millan, Daniel Oreskes, Nico Santos, Marin Ireland and Susan Sarandon, in this world premiere directed by Scott Elliott. North Carolina Theatre, the region's premiere nonprofit professional theatre, is proud to announce casting for its upcoming production of Murder for Two, playing April 26-May 5, 2019 in A.J. Fletcher Opera Theater at Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh.

Veteran character actor Peter Scolari stars in a featured role in the New Theatre production of Neil Simon's "Biloxi Blues."

Off-Broadway's The New Group will honor Edie Falco and Serge Nivelle at the company's Annual Gala on Monday, March 11 at Tribeca Rooftop (2 Desbrosses Street between Hudson & Greenwich).  The event will feature a performance by Brandon Victor Dixon and appearances by Peter Dinklage, Warren Leight, Erica Schmidt and Tarik Trotter. The evening, 6:00-10:00pm, includes cocktails, dinner and live auctions.

New Theatre and Restaurant's production of Neil Simon's 'Biloxi Blues' transports its 2019 audience back to Army boot camp during the closing days of World War II.   Simon has been mostly recognized for plays that depend on situations producing comedy and quick laughs. 'Biloxi Blues' is more serious.

New York Stage and Film announces the programming line-up for their 2019 Winter Season at The Lark/Barebones Studio (311 West 43rd Street, 5th Floor): Halley Feiffer's Saying Goodbye to the People I Love From My Bathtub, 2015 Founders' Award Recipient Harrison David Rivers' the bandaged place, and Sharr White's Pictures From Home.

The New Group has just announced complete casting and the design team for Clueless, The Musical by Amy Heckerling.  This world premiere production, with choreography by Kelly Devine, directed by Kristin Hanggi, features Ephie Aardema, Lori Alan, Sara Andreas, Gilbert L. Bailey II, Dove Cameron, Will Connolly, Danielle Marie Gonzalez, Tessa Grady, Talya Groves, Chris Hoch, L'ogan J'ones, Darius Jordan Lee, Justin Mortelliti, Brett Thiele, Dave Thomas Brown and Zurin Villanueva; with Scenic Design by Beowulf Boritt; Costume Design by Amy Clark; Lighting Design by Jason Lyons; Sound Design by Gareth Owen; Projection Design by Darrel Maloney; Music Supervision, Arrangement and Orchestration by Ethan Popp and Music Direction by Matthew Smedal.  Previews begin November 20 in advance of an Official Opening Night on Tuesday, December 11.  A limited Off-Broadway engagement is slated through January 12 at The Pershing Square Signature Center (The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street).
