As previously reported, the Broadway production of Hillary and Clinton, a new play by Tony Award nominee Lucas Hnath, plays its final performance today, Sunday, June 23.

The Broadway production of Hillary and Clinton, a new play by Tony Award nomineeLucas Hnath, will play its final performance on Sunday, June 23. Hillary and Clinton began previews on March 16, 2019, and opened to critical acclaim on April 18, 2019, at the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street). At the time of its closing, it will have played 37 preview performances and 77 regular performances.

On Monday, June 10 nearly 250 people gathered at the Tribeca Rooftop for the HB Studio Gala celebrating the centennial of its long-time master teacher, the two-time Tony Award winning actress Uta Hagen, whose 100th birthday is Wednesday, June 12.

On Wednesday night's episode of 'Late Night with Seth Meyers,' John Lithgow was a guest on the show to talk about his Broadway show, 'Hillary and Clinton,' and his film 'The Tomorrow Man.'

On Monday night, John Lithgow was a guest on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' to talk about his Broadway show, Hillary and Clinton, and to discuss his dramatic film The Tomorrow Man.  During the interview, Lithgow reveals how he fell in love with wearing shorts similar to former President Bill Clinton's infamous activewear for the play.

The 9th Annual Shakespeare's Birthday Sonnet Slam will be held Friday, April 26th from 1pm-4pm at the 9th floor Lounge at the Riverside Church Campus in the Morningside Heights neighborhood of Manhattan. The Sonnet Slam features 154 readers of all ages and abilities performing all 154 of Shakespeare's Sonnets in numerical order. The event is free to the public and is approximately 3 hours long.
