Hubbard Street Dance Chicago Welcomes Six New Company Dancers

Hubbard Street Dance Chicago (HSDC), led by Artistic Director Linda-Denise Fisher-Harrell, introduces six new artists joining their main company, each highly accomplished in contemporary dance. Aaron Choate, Morgan Clune, Jack Henderson, Shota Miyoshi, Cyrie Topete and Matt Wenckowski, will all join the company for its 45th season.

Lindy Fines, Choreographer/Artistic Director of GREYZONE, announces the New York premiere of ASSEMBLY, an insightful evening length work by Lindy Fines in collaboration with composer Sivan Jacobovitz, costume designers House of 950 and Victoria Yee Howe, and the five performing dancers. Together they generate a world where the arts intertwine, all actively inspiring the other.   Performances are June 10 & 11 at the Paul Taylor Studio, 551 Grand Street.

The Washington Ballet today announced that five members of its Studio Company have been promoted into the Company. The dancers are: Andrea Allmon; Rafael Bejarano; Nicholas Cowden; Audrey Malek; and Isaac “Rench” Soriano.

Sacred Heart University Hires New Managing Director Of Performing Arts

Sacred Heart University has hired Martin Kagan as its new managing director of performing arts. Kagan, who resides in Riverside, will oversee the band & orchestra, choral and dance programs and will work directly with Jerry Goehring, executive director of the performing arts department. He will also develop and manage budgets, implement grants and pursue fundraising.
