On Monday evening, February 23 at 8:00pm, the Broadway community (and beyond) is coming together for one of the most important events of the year - Defying Inequality: The Broadway Concert -- A Celebrity Benefit for Equal Rights, a one-night only concert event at the Gershwin Theatre (222 W. 51st Street). Featured in the star-studded evening are performers from stage & screen - all to benefit equal right organizations including: Family Equality Council, Empire State Pride Agenda, Equality California, Garden State Equality, and The Vermont Freedom to Marry Task Force.

Variety is reporting that former BOEING-BOEING star and Trading Spaces host Paige Davis has been picked to to host Life for Dummies, a new lifestyle-oriented syndicated show being developed by A. Smith and Co.

Second Stage Theatre celebrated its annual All-Star Bowling Classic on Monday, February 2nd Lucky Strike Lanes and Lounge. For over 21 years, stars of stage and screen have come out to bowl in support of Second Stage's award-winning seasons and to assist the theatre in its fund-raising efforts. BWW joined in on all the starry fun!

The 2008 Tony Award Winning Best Play Revival, Boeing-Boeing, will play its final Broadway performance on Sunday, January 4, 2009, when the current cast's contracts end. Upon closing, Boeing-Boeing will have played 280 performances and 17 previews. The critically acclaimed comedy, which recouped its entire $2.65 million investment this September, will launch a 45-week national tour this fall. Prior to its Broadway engagement, Boeing-Boeing enjoyed a wildly successful run at London's Comedy Theatre from February 2007 - January 2008.

Last night, October 7th, 2008, Roundabout Theatre Company's production of 'A Man For All Seasons' had its official Broadway opening at the American Airlines Theatre. BroadwayWorld was there to bring you all the Opening Night festivities.

Producer Sonia Friedman announced today that the 2008 Tony Award-Winning Best Play Revival, Boeing-Boeing, has recouped its entire $2.65 million investment as of September 21. A 2009 Tour is also being planned.

Beginning Tuesday, October 7, Paige Davis and Rebecca Gayheart will join Christine Baranski, 2008 Tony Award Winner Mark Rylance, Greg Germann and Missi Pyle in the 2008 Tony Award-winning Best Play Revival, Boeing-Boeing.
