The National Women's Theatre Festival is pleased to present the North Carolina premiere of Manhattan-based, three-time cancer survivor and patient advocate Valerie David's critically, internationally acclaimed comedic solo show The Pink Hulk: One Woman's Journey to Find the Superhero Within.

The Reykjavik Fringe Festival (RVK Fringe) presents the award-winning, internationally acclaimed, comedic solo show The Pink Hulk: One Woman's Journey to Find the Superhero Within, written and performed by three-time cancer survivor Valerie David. She has been inspiring audiences around the globe with her moving story and mantra to never ever give up hope, even in the worst of circumstances! 

Minutes into the train trip that propels the play I WAS RIGHT HERE, author/actor Julia Brothers reflects on the reflection of an across-the aisle passenger: “It’s like I’m watching a movie of his heartbreak.” Although simple, this cinematic analogy sets the entire kaleidoscopic 70-minute sequence of memory-linked scenes into motion. Brothers personifies and ponders the people, places, and relationships that reside in the liminal space between meaning and  mystery.

Now in its ninth season of supporting emerging writers The Farm Theater has awarded their 2021/22 College Collaboration Project Commission to playwright Jake Brasch (Greenland at Dixon Place; Salutations, I'm Creative Dave at Alchemical Theatre Laboratory). Jake will collaborate with Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN and Pellissippi State College in Knoxville, TN. Austin Peay is participating in The Farm Theater's College Collaboration Project for the first time. This will be Pellissippi State's second year, following their partnership in 2018-19. 

In honor of Women’s History Month, the WHAM Festival presents the comedic solo show The Pink Hulk: One Woman’s Journey to Find the Superhero Within, written, performed and co-produced by three-time cancer survivor Valerie David.

On Wednesday, October 21st, the Nuyorican Poets Cafe and Romy Nordlinger will present NYSEEING 2020: a benefit to raise funds for the Nuyorican Poets Cafe & The Artists Relief Fund.

In Honor of October Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The Pink Hulk is performing on Friday, October 9, at 9:30 pm, ET (6:30 pm, PT) as part of The MarshStream International Solo Fest. Now battling breast cancer after fighting off lymphoma, Valerie does something most people facing cancer in their life probably wouldn't think of doing.
