Review: HIGH SOCIETY, Starring Helen George and Freddie Fox

Latest in the line of blockbuster Cole Porter musicals dominating the Barbican’s summer programming is High Society, following in the footsteps of Anything Goes and Kiss Me, Kate. Like its predecessors, High Society is, to a certain extent, an excuse for a series of absurd situations contrived to fit in as many Cole Porter songs as possible.

Full Cast and Creative Team Set For EMMA at the Rose Theatre

In celebration of the 250th anniversary year of Jane Austen’s birth, one of Britain’s most beloved novelists, the Rose Theatre has announced the full cast and creative team for the world premiere of Ava Pickett’s (1536) new adaptation of Emma.

The recent West End revival of Kiss Me, Kate starring Tony Winner Stephanie J. Block, will be airing on PBS as part of the channel's Great Performances lineup. The PBS premiere is set for Friday, May 30 at 9 p.m. ET.

KISS ME, KATE Starring Stephanie J. Block Coming to U.S. Theaters

Kiss Me, Kate, the recent West End revival starring Tony Winner Stephanie J. Block, will be hitting U. S. movie theaters starting on November 17. As previously reported, the film will also be available in the U.K., Canada, and other international markets.
