The acclaimed Broadway Sings concert series has announced the lineup for its next major installment, Broadway Sings Lady Gaga. To close out Pride Weekend on June 26, a bombshell cast of Broadway stars will belt out completely new arrangements of the hits of the award-winning pop star, accompanied by a 14-piece orchestra at the beautiful Sony Hall.

She “Meets the Plastics” the top of the high school hierarchy, and learns how cruel queen bee, Regina George, is and her friends Janice and Damian create a “Revenge Party” to bring Regina down. We see each characters' growth, just as we all did through high school.

Featuring dynamic choreography from director Casey Nicholaw and new songs from Fey's hubby Jeff Richmond and lyricist Nell Benjamin, this stage adaptation of the cult hit movie (that will also soon be re-adapted into a movie musical) admirably recreates its quote-heavy 'fetch'-ness and anthropological commentary for the social media age.

The producers of MEAN GIRLS - the record-breaking new musical comedy produced by Lorne Michaels, Stuart Thompson, Sonia Friedman, and Paramount Pictures based on the hit film - have announced the First National Tour coming to Orange County at Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Its Social Darwinism dished out by a group called 'The Plastics', the Mean Girls of writer Tina Fey's musical based on her 2004 film of the same name. It's a familiar story of bullying, acceptance and social groupings with an OK score and clever wise-cracking dialogue.

Tina Fey proves she still knows high school in her musicalized version of MEAN GIRLS, but she makes rookie mistakes about what to leave out and what to leave in. Music by Fey's husband, Jeff Richmond, doesn't compensate for these deficits with Nell Benjamin's lyrics. But the deep and talented touring cast often brings redemption.

From being homeschooled in the savannas of Kenya to attending North Shore High School, Cady Heron (English Bernhardt) has some huge adjustments to make. With the help of her new besties, Damian Hubbard (Ian Young) and Janice Sarkisian (Lyndsay Heather Pearce) she will embark on a new adventure. High School!
