Fifteen screenwriters will convene to advance their independent projects at Sundance Institute's January Screenwriters Lab, taking place at the Sundance Mountain Resort in Utah, from January 17-22, 2020. At the Lab, the screenwriters will immerse themselves in a rigorous and holistic creative process, working to further develop their scripts with the mentorship of accomplished Creative Advisors.
The Young Vic's Sold Out Run Of FAIRVIEW Extends

Due to public demand, the Young Vic today announces that the currently sold out production of Jackie Sibblies Drury's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Fairview will extend until Thursday 23 January 2020 for six additional performances. These additional performances are on sale now, Friday 6 December, with tickets priced from £10 - £43.

This is no ordinary play. Though it begins in a fairly conventional manner, setting up for a hearty family drama, there are little things to pick up on which tell you that something's not quite right a?' it's unsettling and you can't quite put your finger on it, but you know that the play has something up its sleeve. Playwright Jackie Sibblies Drury says in the programme, a?oeOh, to not spoil Fairview I can basically tell you nothing!a?? a?' that makes it a challenge to review, but having now witnessed it I have to endorse her statement. You must step into the unknown with this one.

The website has been updated and developed to better facilitate the community and peer-support at the heart of the Young Vic Directors Program, the only scheme of its kind, which has been running for nearly twenty years. The program currently serves nearly 1,000 directors, designers and producers living in the UK at the early stages of their career.

Writer and director Nadia Latif has been named the next Genesis Fellow at the Young Vic. Nadia's most recent credits as a director include: Fall of the Kingdom, Rise of the Footsoldier, The Calm (workshop) (RSC); Octagon, but i cd only whisper (Arcola); Homegrown (National Youth Theatre); Even Stillness Breathes Softly Against A Brick Wall (Soho Theatre) and Saved(Drama Centre). From 2009 to 2011 she was Associate Director of Theatre503.
Brad Birch Receives 2016 Pinter Commission

Playwright Brad Birch received the 2016 Pinter Commission yesterday (Tuesday 15 March) - an award given annually by Lady Antonia Fraser, Harold Pinter's widow, to support a new commission at the Royal Court Theatre.
