Morgan James' new album features collaborators like Raphael Saadiq, Memphis saxophonist Lannie McMillan (Silk Sonic, Al Green), producers/songwriters Sam Watters and Louis Biancaniello (Kelly Clarkson, Anastacia), songwriter and 3x GRAMMY nominee Ryan Shaw, and Doug Wamble, Morgan’s longtime musical collaborator and husband. When Mwalim first performed 'A Party at the Crossroads' as a performance piece in 1996 at the Falmouth Public Library for Black History Month, with a subsequent production in Boston through New African Company, little did he know that the show would become a touring piece that took him around the country to theaters, venues and festivals.

The York Theatre Company has announced the cast and full creative team for its revised version of Vanities—The Musical, with book by Jack Heifner, music and lyrics by David Kirshenbaum, music direction by Deborah Abramson, and choreography by Shannon Lewis. The show will be directed by Will Pomerantz.

Marika Aubrey was born and raised in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. She emigrated to the US six years ago and currently resides in New York City. She is currently on tour with COME FROM AWAY, portraying Captain Beverly Bass. I had the chance to chat with her about her life and career both on and off the stage.
