The original cast recording of The York Theatre Company's 2022 world premiere presentation of Penelope, or How the Odyssey Was Really Written, a new musical comedy, with book & lyrics by Peter Kellogg (York’s Desperate Measures), music by Stephen Weiner (The Rivals), is out now.

City Winery Boston, celebrating its 5th anniversary, announced a series of new shows over the next several months that showcase the diverse entertainment offerings at one of the city's premiere venues.

J2 Spotlight Musical Theater Company will return, for their third consecutive season, to Theatre Row. The slate of show will include three productions running for two consecutive weeks each from Thursday, April 13 through Sunday, May 21, 2023.

Called “the most promising young vocalist to come along so far this century” by The Wall Street Journal, Morgan James has revealed plans for a new album and tour in 2023.  Nobody’s Fool is due next spring, and the accompanying tour kicks off March 31 in Manchester, NH, and runs through May 23, 2023 in Baton Rouge.

The gala honored musical theater legend Leslie Uggams  with the 2022 Oscar Hammerstein Award for Outstanding Achievement in Musical Theater, which will be presented by Dionne Warwick. Ted Chapin was also honored with The York Theatre Company Founders' Award, presented by his daughters Anika and Zoë Chapin. On Saturrday, 11/12 at 2 PM EST, noted interviewer Richard Skipper will join forces with 15-year-old theater podcaster Charles Kirsch to celebrate the life of one of Broadway's best, veteran press agent Susan L. Schulman.
