​​​​​​​Theatre Raleigh announces its 2023 main stage season, including such award-winning musicals as 'Jersey Boys,' and 'The Prom' and the world premiere of N.C. playwright Allan Maule's 'The Weight of Everything We Know.'

The board of Directors of the New London Barn Playhouse are pleased have appointed three new members to the board as well as new officers. 

Based on the children's book by Barbara Park, this play follows the feisty and irrepressible June B. Jones as she plays Secret Santa to her least favorite classmate, Tattletale May. Will Junie B. give Tattletale May exactly what she thinks she deserves or will the holiday spirit force a change of heart?

Hell in a Handbag Productions will ring in the holiday season with the return of its favorite seniors in The Golden Girls: The Lost Episodes, The Obligatory Holiday Special, playing November 26 – December 30, 2022 at The Hoover-Leppen Theatre at The Center on Halsted.

The Public Theater will begin previews for the world premiere of PLAYS FOR THE PLAGUE YEAR on Friday, November 4. The theatrical concert, written by and featuring Suzan-Lori Parks, will be performed in Joe’s Pub for a limited three-week engagement through Sunday, November 27. See rehearsal photos here!

The episode will also feature an interview with Academy Award and Grammy Award winner Cameron Crowe, who wrote the book and co-wrote the lyrics for the new musical based on his film of the same name. The cast includes Chris Wood, Solea Pfeiffer, Drew Gehling, Rob Colletti, Casey Likes, and more.

Katie Holmes will lead Roundabout Theatre Company's New York premiere of The  Wanderers by playwright Anna Ziegler, and directed by Barry Edelstein. Learn more about the play here!

Gavin Creel helped breast cancer survivor Carina Ranieri fulfill her lifelong dream of dancing on a Broadway stage. After choosing college over pursuing performing Carina Ranieri found peace by dancing through her breast cancer diagnosis and now she was able to live out her dream by dancing onstage at Into the Woods. This year's show The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (23 Nov '22 - 8 Jan '23) sees our return to a full-scale production and will once again be written by the 'king of panto' Johnny McKnight - who will also don the gingham frock and ruby slippers made famous by Judy Garland, to play Dorothy Blawna-Gale.

The Flynn has announced new music shows coming to the Main Stage in 2023. On March 8 at 7:30 pm, multinational operatic pop group Il Divo graces the stage at the Flynn. And on March 10 at 7:30 pm, the hit tribute show The Simon & Garfunkel Story comes to Burlington.
