The Broadway classic Dreamgirls makes its Brazilian debut in a dazzling production. Directed by Gustavo Barchilon, the show captures the rise and struggles of a 1960s girl group inspired by Motown legends. Letícia Soares shines as Effie White, while Laura Castro (Deena) and Samantha Schmütz (Lorell) complete a dynamic trio. The Muny has announced its full cast, design and production teams for Dreamgirls, the second show in the theatre’s 106th season, which runs June 27-July 3 on the James S. McDonnell Stage in Forest Park.

Salonga and Leal will join Carly Pope, Elena Goode, Zakiya Young, and the previously announced Mallory Bechtel, Bailee Madison, Chandler Kinney, Maia Reficco, Malia Pyles, Zaria, Alex Aiono and Eric Johnson in the new series.
