The darkly comic new British musical Why Would We Care? will premiere at London’s Union Theatre January 26–31, 2026. With music and lyrics by John-Michael Mahoney and direction by James Connor.
The Barnstormers Theatre will present The Mousetrap, Agatha Christie’s classic murder mystery, from August 7–16. Directed by Dori A. Robinson, the production marks the fourth show of the company’s milestone 95th season.
Sin The Musical will showcase at The Other Palace Studio for four nights this August. After a sold out performance at the Arcola Theatre during the Grimeborn Opera Festival last year, this new musical will continue its journey in Victoria.
KING LEAR is the debut of an educational collaboration between TampaRep and the USF School of Theatre and Dance. For this production, students will study and create under the guidance of professional designers working on the project. And In addition, late artistic director C. David Frankel will be memorialized with an annual scholarship at USF.
Previewing on February 3rd (Pay What You Can), and running just three weekends (Feb 4-20) at The University of South Florida School of Theatre and Dance, the production features TampaRep mainstay Michael Mahoney (Heisenberg, The Iceman Cometh) in the title role.
Tampa Repertory Theatre will present Thrice to Mine, an original and stirring imagining of the life of Shakespeare's Lady Macbeth written and performed by award-winning actor Roxanne Fay, in the Studio Theatre of HCC-Ybor City, on the corner of East Palm Ave. and Avenida Republica de Cuba, on January 24 and 25 at 8 PM. All proceeds from this special benefit performance will go toward paying the artists involved in TampaRep's spring production of Shakespeare's King Lear.

freeFall's 2017/18 season begins with an all-new adaptation of White Fang, written and directed by Jethro Compton. Based in the UK, Compton and his production company are well known for creating bold, narrative driven theatrical experiences that often present highly cinematic re-imaginings of classic stories for the stage. freeFall Theatre Company and Jethro Compton Productions are co-producing this new vision of a literary classic right here in St. Petersburg. Local audiences will be the first to experience this world premiere before it heads to London for a run at The Park Theatre in December 2017.
