In a video clip post from backstage at The Tonight Show, Idina Menzel put her own Wicked spin on the She-Hulk filter. Menzel is seen snapping her fingers and instantly turning green, something she is no stranger to, before belting out a bit of 'Defying Gravity' from the musical, in which she originated the role of Elphaba.

Idina Menzel stopped by The View this morning with her sister, Cara Mentzel, to discuss their new children's book, Loud Mouse. During the interview, Menzel discussed her recent induction as a Disney Legend, her new film with Adam Sandler, and described her recent visit back to see Wicked on Broadway. Original Elphaba Idina Menzel has revealed the advice that she gave to Cynthia Erivo, who will be playing the role in the upcoming two-part film adaption of Wicked. Erivo will be joined by Ariana Grande as Glinda and Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero in the upcoming film, helmed by In the Heights director Jon M. Chu.

Skylight Music Theatre will stream Kate Baldwin’s Broadway Comes Home, a concert and documentary film, Friday, Sept. 9 through Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022, on Skylight’s website. Broadway Comes Home features footage from Baldwin’s intimate concert last year in front of a small, invited audience on the stage of Skylight’s Cabot Theatre.

Daniel Henning, the Founding Artistic Director of The Blank Theatre in Hollywood, is stepping down after 32 years, effective October 8, 2022. Henning founded The Blank Theatre in 1990.

The Board of Trustees of Barrington Stage Company have announced that Alan Paul as the company's new Artistic Director. Paul, who is currently the Associate Artistic Director of the Tony Award-winning Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, DC, will succeed Julianne Boyd, BSC co-founder and Artistic Director, who is retiring at the end of the 2022 season after leading the company for 27 years.
