Mile Square Theatre, Hudson County's leading professional theatre, revives its beloved production of It's a Wonderful Life: a live radio play, by Joe Landry. Mile Square Theatre becomes a live recording studio in the golden age of radio, and MST theatre goers become the studio audience as WMST "goes on air" to broadcast Frank Capra's popular holiday story.

Playwright Duncan Pflaster and director Aliza Shane blur the lines of life and art in A TOUCH OF CINEMA, about a dinner party turned dark when the guests must hear a screenplay about the abduction and torture of a young filmmaker who made 'seditious' movies.

Let's face it there are a lot of Christmas stories out there. From the moment Thanksgiving is over, the holiday movies begin to play non-stop and people begin blasting Christmas music. For theaters around the world Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL is that holiday staple sure to bring in audiences of all ages. EVERY CHRISTMAS STORY EVER TOLD takes that idea and turns it on its head.

What begins as an annual production of "A Christmas Carol," soon devolves into an irreverent look at numerous Holiday classics including "It's a Wonderful Life," "Frosty," "Rudolph," "Charlie Brown," and more. Three actors (with the help of Santa) send up everything from Dickens to Dr. Seuss in 90 minutes of high-octane jollity and frivolity.

The Hound of the Baskervilles, by Steven Canny and John Nicholson, begins tonight, July 1 in Gompertz Theatre.  This twist on the classic Sherlock Holmes tale makes for a funny, cunningly clever whodunit adventure.

Bronx Bombers, a new American play written and directed by Eric Simonson, will begin performances on Broadway starting January 10, 2014 at Circle in the Square Theater (235 West 50th Street). The official opening is February 6, 2014.
