The Michael Chekhov Theatre Festival announces their spring fundraiser to be performed at the Ridgefield Theater Barn on Saturday, April 13 at 7:00 pm. This will be a staged reading of Christopher Durang's 'Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike', the winner of the 2013 Tony Award for BEST PLAY which was inspired by the works of Anton Chekhov. He will work alongside former Managing Director, Jessica Cerullo who now steps into the newly created role of MICHA's Artistic Director. Together, they will manage the day-to day operations of MICHA, produce the annual International Summer Workshop and Festival at Connecticut College in June, and seek out other ways to extend and preserve the legacy of Michael Chekhov and the MICHA. Conducted by Music Director of Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra, Roger Kaila, this concert will include an assortment of sweet selections from Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker;" ballerinas from Orange County's acclaimed ballet company, Festival Ballet Theatre; actor James McHale; a grande finale sing-a-long; and a visit from the jolly man himself-Santa Claus!
