A Noise Within announced that managing director Michael Bateman will be departing the theater after a nine-year tenure.

A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classic theatre company, is thrilled to announce its 2022-2023 Season with the theme DARING TO LOVE. A Noise Within’s current season subscribers, donors, and patrons were invited to hear the news first in an exclusive online announcement last night. Season pass holders and new subscribers now have the opportunity to access priority seating. Single tickets will go on sale to the public on July 6, 2022.

A Noise Within (ANW), California’s acclaimed classic repertory theatre company, announces the fifth production of its 30th anniversary season, Nilo Cruz’s Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, Anna in the Tropics, directed by ANW’s Director of Cultural Programming Jonathan Muñoz-Proulx (he/him).  The play runs now through April 17, 2022, with a Sunday Rush performance on April 10 at 7:00 p.m. All remaining tickets for the Sunday evening performance are $25. Tickets are available online now for the performance with the code SUNDAYRUSH while selecting seats OR mention “SUNDAY RUSH” after 2 p.m. on the day of the performance at the box office window.

Michael Bateman (Big Moe), Josiah Peters (Eat Moe) and Brandon Metoyer (Nomax) return to Vintage having last been seen in “The Scottsboro Boys.” Making their Vintage stage debut are Kenyan Bernard (No Moe), Jalen Gregory (Four Eyed Moe) and Ronald McQueen (Little Moe). 

Vintage Theatre Productions announces the return of live performances with “Five Guys Named Moe” July 23 through August 22.

A Noise Within will release its second high-quality film of a stage production this spring: Alice in Wonderland—remounting the beloved production from Spring 2020—written by Eva Le Gallienne and Florida Friebus and originally directed and conceived by Stephanie Shroyer.

As multidimensional as is the landscape of the Southwest that so attracted Zane Grey, so too is the documentary that chronicles the creation of an epic opera, based on one of his most famous novels, RIDERS OF THE PURPLE SAGE. Directed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Kristin Atwell Ford (and produced by Quantum Leap Productions in collaboration with Arizona Opera), the film is as powerful and evocative in its own way as the piece and the process it reveres and celebrates. It makes its virtual premiere on Thursday, March 25th as part of an online benefit initiative ~ in partnership between The Actors Fund and the film’s producer, Quantum Leap Productions ~ to support performing arts professionals out of work due to the pandemic. A Noise Within (ANW) was honored to be selected as one of 10 performing arts organizations in the nation with a long track record of high performance by SMU DataArts for their newly released study 'The Alchemy of High-Performing Arts Organizations.' 

From Kander & Ebb, the songwriting team that brought you Cabaret and Chicago, a?oeThe Scottsboro Boysa?? is a modern masterpiece that explores the infamous 1930s Scottsboro Case in which a group of young African-American men is falsely accused of a terrible crime. Humorous and haunting, this musical tells the story that ultimately sparked the Civil Rights Movement.

Firehouse Theater Company is proud to present Lisa Kron's Well from June 22 to July 20, 2019. Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 PM, and Sundays at 2:00 PM. LA STAGE Alliance has announced this year's LA Stage Talks, a series of panel discussions moderated by LA STAGE Alliance CEO Terence McFarland, exploring various aspects of the creation of performing arts in the Southern California region.
