Joe's Pub, a program and venue of The Public Theater, has announced the new class of Joe's Pub Working Group (JPWG), the venue's artist development program dedicated to enhancing the career sustainability and growth of performing artists. Entering its sixth year, JPWG welcomes five artists - cabaret artist Salty Brine, vocalist and composer Sarah Elizabeth Charles, musician and musical theater composer Jaime Lozano, Indian classical and crossover vocalist Roopa Mahadevan, and singer-songwriter Kirsten Maxwell - into the group, which represents the diversity and scope of the nightly programming at Joe's Pub.

Wednesday, April 15 at 8 pm in the Main Theatre, iconic Grammy and Oscar-winning singer/songwriter and activist MELISSA ETHERIDGE will rock the Warner Stage when she hits the road on THE MEDICINE SHOW tour.

The iconic GRAMMY and Oscar-winning singer/songwriter and activist, Melissa Etheridge announced today that she will hit the road, once again, next Spring to continue The Medicine Show. Etheridge will kick of the spring tour in March and will stay on the road until early May, including at stop at Boston's Emerson Colonial Theatre on Saturday, April 11 at 8pm.

Grammy and Academy Award winning singer-songwriter Melissa Etheridge is teaming up with Sixthman to create another amazing experience in the form of another music festival at sea with the announcement of the upcoming voyage of The Melissa Etheridge Cruise IV. Melissa Etheridge will hit the high seas aboard the Norwegian Pearl on October 20 – October 26, 2020 sailing from Miami to Key West, Ocho Rios, and Great Stirrup Cay. Guests will be able to partake in various activities, including two exclusive performances by Etheridge, a photo op with Etheridge, dynamic collaboration sets, a variety of concerts from supporting artists, and so much more. The Country Music Association has selected rising Country artists Angie K, Everette and Kylie Morgan as recipients of the second annual CMA KixStart Artist Scholarship. Throughout the year-long program, which officially launches Tuesday, Oct. 1, CMA will mentor the artists, connect them with top industry professionals, as well as provide them opportunities to participate in CMA-related events during CMA Awards, CMA Fest, international events and CMA Foundation programs. In addition to participating in these events, each KixStart artist will receive a stipend to assist with various facets of their developing career.

Before sitting down and experiencing Alice Ripley's RIPLEYTHEBAND set at Feinstein's/54 Below, I'd have confidently told you that I already got it. I understood her influence as a Broadway juggernaut, I was totally down for her killer, just-salty-and-just-sweet enough personality, and was obviously in awe of her vibratoed belt that could make a tree transition into Fall just a li'l bit too early. But after seeing her show- a relatively short, wholly intimate, and undeniably personal hour with just two band-mates and a former co-star to back her- I would be forced (and happy) to admit, loudly and genuinely, that I was wrong. I didn't get it. I only thought I did.

Americana/Country-Rock artist Dan Ashley is releasing 'What Really Matters' as the first of what will be several tracks from a future album collection due out in 2020. The track, written by Dan Ashley and producer Bill Bentley, is a deeply personal song, forged by the more than three decades Ashley has worked as a leading American television journalist and the last decade as a singer and songwriter.
