Shows with magical impact, Broadway pizazz, lyrical allure, and so much more are in the wings at Spencer Theater this fall, winter and spring – the Spencer's 25th anniversary season of live performances! The 14-show line-up offers something for everyone, all staged with superior lighting and grand acoustics.

Following an extensive audition process, it has been announced that Travis Cormier will take on the role of Strat in the Las Vegas run of Bat Out of Hell – The Musical, the award-winning hit production set to Jim Steinman and Meat Loaf’s greatest hits and one of history’s best-selling albums. Cormier will take the stage at Paris Las Vegas on September 27.

Complex instrumentals of fiery and provocative rhythms make Pavlo's Mediterranean music utterly unique in the world of contemporary guitar. The compositions speak volumes about his creative inspirations and cultural experience: the romantic lands of Greece, where his ancestors studied the ethos of musical harmonics and consonance – and where his own Greek papa implored him time and a gain to “have the courage to do what you love, and the drive to do it well.”

The Theatre group is heading to Dr. Frank-N-Furter’s spooky castle for “The Rocky Horror Show.” Richard O’Brien’s gender-bending spoof of horror and science fiction B-movies will be performed.

Dorset Theatre Festival’s 45th Season of professional summer theatre will continue with the World Premiere of the one-women play, Scarecrow, written and performed by Heidi Armbruster, and directed by the Festival’s artistic director, Dina Janis.  

In Maine State Music Theatre’s second 2022 concert series program, the Pickard Theater pulsates with the big, bold, vibrant musical energy of Joe Boucher and his band, vocalists and a seventeen-piece orchestra, treating a cheering audience to a playlist of rock and roll classics from the 1970s and 1980s. Boucher, who managed to sell out the house even during the 2021 pandemic-era performances, returns triumphantly with his talented instrumental ensemble and two charismatic lead vocalists who collaborate with Ben McNaboe and the MSMT Orchestra to create a rich and unforgettable aural tapestry.

The Rocky Horror Show will open on Friday, July 15th, and will also be performed on Saturday, July 16th, Friday, July 22nd, Saturday, July 23rd, Friday, July 29th, and Saturday, July 30th at the Savas Kostas Performing Arts Center on the Logan campus of Southern WV Community & Technical College.

The 2022/2023 Season marks Lyric Stage's 5th Season at the historic Majestic Theatre, located in downtown Dallas, and features five musicals by some of the most popular, award-winning, and cult-classic pop/rock composers Broadway has to offer, including Elton John, Phil Collins, ABBA, The Electric Light Orchestra (“ELO”), and Richard O'Brien.

Catch what’s on stage at the Spencer Theater this Summer Season 2022, a popping 13-week calendar of live music, special events and dining fun. The vibrant line-up includes everything from traditional western swing, contemporary folk, gospel and classic country, iconic rock and pop superstars, award-winning Mediterranean (flamenco/Greek) guitar, folk and surf rock legends, full-stage tributes, and children’s musical theatre. 

Jacques Lacan, the French psychoanalyst who is widely recognized as one of the most important intellectuals of the 20th Century, is portrayed by David Patrick Kelly (John Wick, Twin Peaks), who illuminates the psychoanalyst’s passion for his work. Ismenia Mendes (Orange is the New Black) plays Seriema, the character based on author Betty Milan.

A touch of “Kinky Boots” with a dash of “La Cage aux Folles” and a sprinkle of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” the original album “DRAG: The Musical (The Studio Recording)” features Alaska, Nick Adams, Michelle Visage, Max von Essen, Bob The Drag Queen, Peppermint, Fortune Feimster, Margaret Cho, Ginger Minj, and more.

Patti Ann’s, the new family-friendly, neighborhood restaurant from chef-owner Greg Baxtrom (of acclaimed Olmsted and Maison Yaki), opens in Prospect Heights [570 Vanderbilt Ave].

Returning to the NYC stage for the first time since NYC shut down in 2020, St. Matty’s Day - ShamROCKED, a rock integration of Broadway and pop, finds its new home at Rockwood Music Hall in the famed Lower East Side on March 17th, 9pm.

Dorset Theatre Festival has announced its return to indoor performances at the Dorset Playhouse beginning June, 23 2022, and the 45th Main Stage Summer Season featuring Jeffrey Hatcher's adaptation of Wait Until Dark (June 23 - July 9); the World Premiere of Scarecrow written and performed by Heidi Armbruster (July 14 - 23); Back Together Again, a new concert featuring the music of Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway (July 27 - August 7); and the World Premiere of Thirst by Ronán Noone (August 18 - September 3).

The Milford Arts Council (The MAC) is bringing Milford’s own Marty Isenberg back to town with his Wes Anderson Project.

The new series is structured with three distinct versions: an hour-long extended cut on discovery+, food-centric half-hour on Food Network at 12pm ET/PT and a companion podcast. The series' season one guests include Julianna Margulies, Erin French, Willie Geist, Rob Marshall, and John DeLuca.
