As the first main stage production in Australia in over forty years, Melbourne Opera and IOpera will present a stunning reinterpretation of Kurt Weill, Bertolt Brecht and Elisabeth Hauptmann's The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny at The Athenaeum from 1 May.

The Ziegfeld Theater will present The Pirates of Penzance. This production is presented with amazing aerial elements and is flipped upside down by gender swapping every role. 

Act II Playhouse announces their latest stage musical, “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change,” with book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro and music by Jimmy Roberts. The show runs May 3 through June 5. 

Kelli O’Hara, Donna Murphy, Debra Monk, Kristine Nielsen, Taylor Richardson, Ben Ahlers, Kelley Curran, Douglas Sills, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Michael Cerveris, Erin Wilhelmi, Patrick Page, and Sullivan Jones will appear in the second season as regulars. Audra McDonald, Nathan Lane, Denee Benton, and more will also appear in the new season.

Savvy songwriter and powerhouse vocalist Robin McKelle has announced her upcoming Boston performance at Scullers Jazz Club on April 23. This performance follows the release of the singer's new single, 'I Must Have That Man,' out now.
