Marking the 30th anniversary of Sebastian Faulks's international best-selling novel, the new touring production of Birdsong will play a limited run this Spring at London's Alexandra Palace Theatre from Thursday 27 February to Saturday 8 March 2025.

Actor Max Bowden, who will star as Jack Firebrace in the forthcoming tour of Sebastian Faulks’s epic First World War story of love and loss Birdsong, and folk musician James Findlay, have recorded their version of the traditional folk song I Would That All The Wars They Were Over with the release out now, commemorating the anniversary of the Battle of the Somme which began on 1 July 1916. Janie Dee has had to withdraw from the production of The Haunting of Alice Bowles for personal reasons, but the producers, Original Theatre Company, have announced that Tamzin Outhwaite will now be playing the titular character in this new supernatural thriller by Philip Franks, adapted for the first time from the M.R. James chilling short ghost story, The Experiment.
