Ben Cameron's long running, award winning musical theatre variety series, Broadway Sessions, returns for a new season at The Green Room 42 on January 18th! The evening will feature cast members from the groundbreaking hit, How To Dance In Ohio.

The Belasco Theatre was the place to be as Broadway celebrated the opening of the final musical of 2023. How to Dance in Ohio – inspired by Alexandra Shiva’s Peabody Award-winning documentary of the same name – is now officially open on Broadway. The Public Theater will begin previews for the world premiere of PLAYS FOR THE PLAGUE YEAR on Friday, November 4. This year’s festival will be held on Thursday, October 21 and Friday, October 22, 2021 and will be presented as a digital and in-person hybrid.

Before the end of the first song, there was thunderous applause at the return of SONDHEIM UNPLUGGED to 54 Below after having been absent, in fact, all of last year. For those of you, like me, who have never been to a SONDHEIM UNPLUGGED show, it is the creation of impresario Phil Geoffrey Bond. It is a simple concept. It is a monthly event at which he gathers a group of guest stars who sing songs by Stephen Sondheim, accompanied only by a piano. The entire evening is hosted and curated by Mr. Bond who also provides tidbits of history and trivia about the songs we are hearing. The series is in its eleventh season. Tonight’s show was number 93.
