The 2023 Tribeca Festival, presented by OKX, has announced its audio storytelling lineup, including 18 world premieres from independent and established narrative audio creators and 11 “Live-from-Tribeca” events. This year’s Festival, which takes place June 7-18, will highlight its audio storytelling selection.

The second season of the Emmy-winning HBO Original six-part docuseries 100 FOOT WAVE, directed and executive produced by award-winning filmmaker Chris Smith (HBO’s “Branson”) and executive produced by Emmy, Golden Globe, and Tony winner Joe Lewis (“Fleabag”), will return in April. The documentary takes place in the late 70s/early 80s, when the concept of a gay family was inconceivable to most, Ry and her sister Cade were born to two lesbian mothers through sperm donors. Ry’s idyllic childhood was threatened by an unexpected lawsuit which sent shockwaves through her family’s lives and continues to reverberate today.

The series is directed by Ry (“Before I Fall”), an award-winning filmmaker, and produced by Academy Award and Emmy® winner Dan Cogan of Story Syndicate and Warren Fischer.

The first four episodes are currently available to stream on HBO Max.

HBO has released the official teaser for 100 FOOT WAVE ahead of the documentary series premiere on July 18.

SHOWTIME has released the premiere episode of its new docu-series LOVE FRAUD early for free online sampling

SHOWTIME has released the trailer and key art for the upcoming docu-series LOVE FRAUD, premiering on Friday, May 8 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The series marks the first foray into episodic television for Emmy winners and Academy Award(R) nominees Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady. LOVE FRAUD had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January, the first time in the festival's history a television series screened on opening night.

Sundance Institute today announced Fellows and Advisors for the five-day 2019 Creative Producing Labs, as well as the three-day Creative Producing Summit which immediately follows; both take place at Utah's Sundance Mountain Resort. The Labs begins July 29, and the Summit August 2. These are the flagship convenings for the Institute's Creative Producing Program, which champions and develops current and rising generations of producers across fiction and nonfiction film.

New York Stage and Film has announced the mentors and artists for its 201920 Filmmakers' Workshop. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts New York, (BAFTA New York), announced today the results of its recent election.

On Monday, April 19, the stars came out to celebrate the 11th Anniversary of WET Productions, a non-profit dedicated to empowering women in the arts and media, at their Love Gala. Love was a one night only benefit performance of short plays on love, written by some of the hottest women writers in film, theater and TV and performed by celebrated actors. WETs notorious annual Gala followed the presentation. BroadwayWorld was there for the celebration.
