BroadwayWorld has learned Tony Award®-winning actress Jessie Mueller (Waitress, Carousel) will reunite with Beautiful director Marc Bruni (Broadway Center Stage: How to Succeed...) for the Broadway Center Stage production of Meredith Willson's The Music Man at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Mueller stars as Marian Paroo opposite the previously announced Tony Award® nominee Norm Lewis (Porgy and Bess) as Harold Hill. Also joining the creative team for the Kennedy Center's latest starry concert production is choreographer Chris Bailey (Jerry Springer: The Opera, The New Yorkers at Encores!) and music director James Moore (Miss Saigon, the Kennedy Center's Follies and Ragtime).

 Audiences are thoroughly enjoying themselves at Bucks County Playhouse's production of Broadway's hilarious romantic comedy "I Hate Hamlet." The production, which runs through December 1 and was hailed by The New York Times as "Unapologetically silly…hilarious!" is directed by Marc Bruni ("Beautiful: The Carol King Musical").

Producers Paul Blake and Sony/ATV Music Publishing announce that the Tony & Grammy Award-winning Broadway hit Beautiful-The Carole King Musical, about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter, will make its highly anticipated return to Rochester at RBTL's Auditorium Theatre for a limited 1 week engagement, January 22-27, 2019.

This Tony and Grammy Award winner comes to the National Theatre for 5 weeks only from November 27 thru December 30, 2018.

The Old Globe today announced the 2019 Summer Shakespeare Festival lineup, which will include two of Shakespeare's best-loved plays: the romantic comedy As You Like It, directed by Jessica Stone, will run June 16 - July 21, and love-filled tragedy Romeo and Juliet, directed by the Globe's Erna Finci Viterbi Artistic Director Barry Edelstein, August 11 - September 15. Both will play outdoors under the stars in the Lowell Davies Festival Theatre.

Tony award-winner, Elizabeth Ashley ("Take Her She's Mine") and Tony nominee Tom Hewitt ("The Rocky Horror Show") will headline a refreshed production of Paul Rudnick's witty, laugh out loud comedy, "I Hate Hamlet" at Bucks County Playhouse, November 9 - December 1. The play marks Ashley's return to the Playhouse after co-starring opposite Robert Redford in the pre-Broadway production of Neil Simon's "Barefoot in the Park."

Roman Holiday the Musical held a reading today in Shanghai, China. The reading starred two time Olivier nominee Michael Xavier and Sara Chase, who appeared in the show's San Francisco run in 2017. The reading was directed by Marc Bruni with music direction by Todd Ellison.

The Tony and Grammy Award-winning Broadway hit BEAUTIFUL-THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL, about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter, will play the Boston Opera House January 29 - February 10, 2019 as part of the 2018-2019 Lexus Broadway In Boston Season. Tickets for the upcoming engagement will go on sale Sunday, October 7, 2018.
