SWAN LAKE ROCK OPERA Will Make Its Off-Broadway Premiere At St. Luke's Theatre In April

A dazzling new version of Tchaikovsky's legendary music will soon make a splash upon the New York Stage in SWAN LAKE ROCK OPERA, a sexy extravaganza about money, love and titles, featuring book and lyrics by Mirit Shem-Ur, music by Pyotr llyich Tchaikovsky, with additional music by Sharona Pick. A provocative mashup of classical and modern music, the production is directed by Tsedi Sarfati and will run on April 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th at St. Luke's Theatre, 308 West 46th Street. www.swanlakerockopera.com

FRANKENSTEIN Musical At St. Luke's Theatre Has Been Extended Through April

FRANKENSTEIN, the Off-Broadway musical at St. Luke's Theatre which opened in October 2017, has been extended again as an open run, with tickets through April 28 on sale now. Frankenstein plays Tuesdays at 7 PM at St. Luke's Theatre. Based on Mary Shelley's novel, with book, music and lyrics by Eric B. Sirota, FRANKENSTEIN is directed by Clint Hromsco and produced by John Lant, Write Act Repertory and Tamra Pica.

FRANKENSTEIN Musical At St. Luke's Theatre Announces New Cast Members

FRANKENSTEIN, the Off-Broadway musical at St. Luke's Theatre, which opened in October 2017, announces new cast members as it extends into 2020, with tickets through January 28, 2020 on sale now. Frankenstein plays Tuesdays at 7 PM at St. Luke's Theatre. Based on Mary Shelley's novel, with book, music and lyrics by Eric B. Sirota, FRANKENSTEIN is directed by Clint Hromsco and produced by John Lant, Write Act Repertory and Tamra Pica.

SWING! Opens Off-Broadway at St. Luke's Theater

'SWING!' tells the story of Adrianna (Christina Barnes), a factory worker in the 40's who is holding down her husband Butch's (Steffen Alexander Whorton) factory job while he's at war. Once he returns home, both Adrianna and Butch feel like they don't fit into their old lives. When she meets Janine (Melissa Winter), Adrianna rediscovers old passions that she put away when she was first married. While her feelings blossom for Janine, Adrianna's love for her husband is also rekindled. Adrianna's difficult choice in a time of forbidden love fuels this passionate musical journey.

SWING! The Musical Comes to St. Luke's Theatre

Off-Broadway Producers John Lant and Tamra Pica, in association with Write Act Repertory Theatre, are pleased to present the Off-Broadway Premiere of SWING! The Musical by playwright Michael Antin. The show will preview at St. Luke's Theatre, November 20, 2019 and opens November 27, 2019, running on Wednesday nights at 8:00pm with tickets on sale through February 2020.

MasterVoices Begins 2019-2020 Season with Concert Staging of The Gershwins' LET 'EM EAT CAKE at Carnegie Hall

MasterVoices begins its 2019-20 season on Thursday, November 21 at Carnegie Hall with the concert staging of George and Ira Gershwins' 1933 musical Let 'Em Eat Cake, with a book by George S. Kaufman and Morrie Ryskind, a comic satire about a populist U.S. President who is voted out of office and stages a coup to regain power. Artistic Director Ted Sperling will direct and conduct MasterVoices, soloists, and Orchestra of St. Luke's in this timely musical which has not been heard in New York since 1987. Frankenstein plays Tuesdays at 7 PM at St. Luke's Theatre. It is neither a comedy nor a parody, but rather an adaptation of Mary Shelley's 200 year old chilling novel, and especially appropriate for this season.

MasterVoices Announces 2019-20 Season

Ted Sperling, Artistic Director of MasterVoices, announced details of the acclaimed ensemble's 78th season, celebrating the joy of choral singing and the power of the human voice to unite, inspire and connect since 1941. Highlights include three major musical presentations at top venues, including a New York premiere, and the World Premiere of a new work, commissioned by the Company. Throughout the season there will be collaborations with leading singers, artists, ensembles and organizations, some who are familiar with and others who are new to the Company.

FunikiJam's Totally Awesome Summer! Returns To The Off-Broadway Stage At Actors Temple Theatre

The award-winning music education and entertainment company, FunikiJam will present its original family musical, 'Totally Awesome Summer!' starting August 25th at Actors Temple Theatre. The 2019 production, as part of FunikiJam's 12 week city-wide 'Totally Awesome Summer' program of classes & events geared for young children and families, exploring awesome vacation destinations like: the Beach, the Islands, the 80's, Australia, and America's Birthday Jam!

Off-Broadway Producers John Lant and Tamra Pica, in association with Write Act Repertory, are pleased to announce another extension, into its 3rd year, of their world premiere FRANKENSTEIN, a new romantic musical based on Mary Shelley's novel, with book, music and lyrics by Eric B. Sirota and directed by Clint Hromsco. The production opened October 2, 2017, and now plays on a new day of the week, Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m., beginning July 2, 2019.

FRINGE DEATHS Comes to St. Luke's Theatre

Fringe Deaths, the new 'noir' play with music chronicling the tragic deaths of four American celebrities written and directed by playwright/journalist Rider McDowell, will begin an open-ended Off-Broadway engagement starting Friday June 28th at St. Luke's Theatre (308 West 46th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues in the heart of the Broadway Theatre District). Opening Night is set for Friday July 26th. The performance will run 90 minutes.
