Entertainment business powerhouse Musik and Film Company has announced their brand new Nashville offices, located at 1317 16th Ave South, Suite 4, Nashville TN 37212

Performing Arts Fort Worth, the non-profit owner and operator of Bass Performance Hall, has announced the 2022-2023 lineup for the BNSF Popular Entertainment Series.

Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts and the National Symphony Orchestra have commissioned a new work by famed Latin Jazz multi-instrumentalist and composer Paquito D'Rivera. Entitled “The Journey,” the new work is a concerto for cello, clarinet, erhu, and orchestra. Yo-Yo Ma, cello, and Paquito D'Rivera, clarinet, will be joined by Cathy Yang, erhu, and the National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by José Luis Gomez.

The series features novelist Jesmyn Ward; country music artist Lyle Lovett; poet and memoirist Natasha Trethewey; 'Raya and the Last Dragon' screenwriter Qui Nguyen; The Hate U Give author Angie Thomas; singer and guitarist Brittany Howard; playwright Katori Hall; and “Stranger Things” series creators Matt and Ross Duffer. 

MPAC presents a wide range of ticketed and free events in July, featuring a great lineup of summer concerts including Lyle Lovett and Chris Isaak, as well as the return of MPAC's free Arts in the Community events.

Legendary performers Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt have teamed up again to present a delightful evening of genre-bending delight, fusing the sounds of country, swing, jazz, folk and gospel in An Acoustic Evening with Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt on Friday, Oct. 14.

The central allure of every iteration is Hornsby's self-absorbed protagonist, Rob Gordon, a 30-something owner of a vinyl record store who suffers from a deficiency of emotional refinement. The first-person narrative gives us a torrent of insights into Rob's pedestrian existence and relationship complications induced by his lack of accountability. Hornsby endows Rob with self-deprecating wit and a listless regard for social norms that we end up liking the guy anyway.
