Tony Kushner & Sarah Vowell Lincoln Discussion At The Town Hall Postponed

Pulitzer Prize winning author Tony Kushner and best-selling author Sarah Vowell in conversation about Lincoln's Legacy on Thursday, March 5 at The Town Hall (123 W. 43rd Street) has been postponed until the fall (before the Presidential selection), due to a scheduling conflict.   Full ticket refunds will be available at the point of purchase.

Red Bull Theater (Jesse Berger, Artistic Director | Jim Bredeson, Managing Director) today announced the cast for the next offering of their season of REVELATION READINGS, the OBIE Award-winning series: Ana Caro's The Courage To Right A Woman's Wrongs (Valor, agravio y mujer), directed by Melia Bensussen, featuring Helen Cespedes, Kelley Curran, Carson Elrod, Anita Castillo-Halvorssen, Anthony Michael Martinez, Sam Morales, Lorenzo Pisoni, Ryan Quinn, Luis Quintero, and Matthew Saldivar.

The Theater Project Presents the 18th Annual Young Playwrights Performance and Awards at The Cranford Community Center

Twelve very talented students will be honored at THE THEATER PROJECT'S eighteenth annual Young Playwrights Competition Performance and Awards Ceremony at 2 PM, Saturday, March 14, at the Cranford Community Center. The event includes playwrighting tutorials for interested students, opportunities for young writers to interact with adult playwrights, acceptance speeches, prizes a?" and pizza. A light lunch before the event allows the new playwrights to meet each other, as well as the actors and directors who put the new work on its feet.

The Workshop Theater to Present Industry Reading Of PULP VERITE By Crystal Skillman

Pulp Vérité, a new play by playwright Crystal Skillman will receive a 29-hour reading with the award-winning The Workshop Theater. The presentation will culminate in two readings on March 6th at 3 and 7 PM, at the A.R.T/NY studios (520 8th Avenue), in the Bruce Mitchell Room. The reading is free, and reservations can be made at www.workshoptheater.org.

Aileen Ugalde Elected as Chair of The Arsht Center's Trust Board of Directors

The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County (@arshtcenter) announces the election of Aileen Ugalde as Chair of the Adrienne Arsht Center Trust (AACT) Board of Directors. The new slate of officers also includes Richard Milstein, Chair-Elect; Matilde Aguirre, Treasurer; Pierre Apollon, Assistant Treasurer; Hillit Meidar-Alfi, Secretary; and Lucille Zanghi, Assistant Secretary.

MUM Comes to the Playground Theatre

Amanda Boxer will star in the world premiere of MUM, a new play about love, loss and dementia by actress and comedian Juliet Cowan, directed by Yasmeen Arden, opening at the Playground Theatre on 18 April and playing until 4 April, with a press night on Friday 20 March. Sian Ejiwunmi-Le Berre will star as 'Roz', Lucille Findlay as 'Laurel' and completing the cast are Lilly Driscoll and Martin Edwards.
