Actor's Express opens its 34th season with the Atlanta premiere of Red Speedo by Lucas Hnath. Hnath is best known for his acclaimed plays The Christians and A Doll's House, Part 2, both recently produced by Actor's Express to critical and audience acclaim in 2017 and 2018, respectively.

When the pandemic hit in early 2020, OpenStage Theatre & Company began its Fight for Art, Culture and Community and to stay alive and thrive. Now OpenStage will once again bring up the curtain for its 49th Season with four Essential and two etcetera productions.

Vineyard Theatre Artistic Directors Douglas Aibel and Sarah Stern have announced that Jesse Cameron Alick will join the company in the newly created position of Associate Artistic Director. Jesse joins the Vineyard direct from the Public Theater where has spent 15 years in the artistic department.

Franklin Stage Company, Delaware County's only admission-free professional theater, will present Lucas Hnath's comedy A Doll's House, Part 2, July 23–August 15th on the lawn outside FSC's historic theater, Chapel Hall, in Franklin, NY.

This fall, the Vineyard Theatre production of IS THIS A ROOM, conceived and directed by Obie Award winner Tina Satter, and the Goodman Theatre, Center Theatre Group and Vineyard Theatre production of DANA H., by Obie Award winner Lucas Hnath and directed by Obie Award winner Les Waters, will come to Broadway’s Lyceum Theatre (149 W 45th Street, New York, NY), playing on a rotating schedule.

Stars of stage and screen participated in the week-long festival. Keynote presenters included Jeff Calhoun, Ken Davenport, Frank Galati, Kristofer Geddie, Philip Hernandez, Chilina Kennedy, Rob McClure, and Mandy Moore.

Today, The 24 Hour Plays, creators of The 24 Hour Plays on Broadway, The 24 Hour Musicals and the Viral Monologues, announced this year’s company for The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals, which will be held as a virtual program.

After a year of virtual programming, including streaming and a podcast, Actor's Express returns to in-person performances with an eight-show in-person season. 

The Classic Theatre has announced their 2021-2022 season, Season 14: Love & Marriage. Each production will be performed on Thursdays-Sundays at San Antonio Botanical Garden, Located at 555 Funston Pl. San Antonio, TX 78209.

New York Theatre Workshop announced today that Artistic Director James C. Nicola will depart the theater on June 30, 2022. Nicola has been the Artistic Director of New York Theatre Workshop since 1988.

Today, The 24 Hour Plays announced that the 10th annual application for The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals will be available starting March 24, 2021 and will run through April 11, 2021. The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals will take place virtually (for the second year in a row) and applicants from everywhere are engaged to apply.
