St. Ann’s Warehouse is presenting Get Back! Summer Concerts 2022, a series of free performances presented on four consecutive Wednesday evenings on the panoramic Empire Fulton Ferry Lawn, adjacent to Jane’s Carousel in Brooklyn Bridge Park.

The Andes Dance Collective, founded by dancer/choreographers Gloria McLean, Columbine Macher, David Capps and composer/performer Marshall Coid, is proud to present the DELAWARE COUNTY 2ND DANCE FILM FESTIVAL AND WORKSHOP, bringing new dance and music events to the Catskills Delaware County region. 

Listen to “We The People Of The Myths,'' which continues the mystery-cloaked journey from one single release to the next, co-recorded, arranged and produced by Harper Simon and late, legendary music producer Hal Willner in one Hal’s final sessions.

Stay Close To Music, the forthcoming album from Mykki Blanco, is unlike anything they have released before. Adventurous and expansive, it shatters any previous assumptions about Mykki’s artistry, leaving them free to define their sound for themselves. MARK DUDA is a New York City-based artist and storyteller who sings, plays guitar, and writes great rock and roll songs. MARK DUDA shines on his debut full-length album BODEGA FLOWERS, which journalist and musician Phil Mitchum praises as a “transformative album from a generational songwriter.”

Mason Alexander Park's THE PANSY CRAZE will play New York City once more, for one night, for PRIDE.

CHELSEA TABLE + STAGE will present the return of Mason Alexander Park for a special Pride edition of their solo show “The Pansy Craze” on Sunday, June 26 at 9:30 PM.

After reopening its Brooklyn waterfront theater last fall, St. Ann’s Warehouse is launching its second post-shutdown season with a continuation of large-scale outdoor performance and public art presentations that address urgent humanitarian issues.

A natural on stage, she reflected upon her illustrious career as she wove stories through song during her 90-minute performance. Much of the set featured material from her recent third full-length album GREEN as well as the lauded The Ghost Who Walks and Double Roses, in addition to covers by Cher, Harry Styles, Robyn, The Cure, Lou Reed and more.

Pangea, a vital incubator for new work crossing boundaries between theatre, music and elsewhere, will present a veritable pride of diverse entertainers on nine consecutive nights, from June 17 to 26.  

Arriving ahead of his forthcoming album, Morningstar, “Waves of Stone” features incendiary guitar interplay between Antonik and special guest three-time Blues Music Award nominee Jarekus Singleton, along with a pounding groove, soaring gospel backup vocals, and grand piano pumped through a roaring Leslie speaker. 

The enduring power of portraiture through time will be on show when two major exhibitions open at the Art Gallery of South Australia in July. Large-scale video portraits by ground-breaking artist Robert Wilson will be presented in the Australian premiere and exclusive exhibition, Robert Wilson: Moving portraits, alongside Archie 100: A Century of the Archibald Prize - a national touring exhibition that celebrates 100 years of Australia’s most prestigious portrait award. One ticket will give audiences access to experience both exhibitions.

Elizabeth McCullough formed the band Alpha Cat to support a notable success with the first Alpha Cat record, Real Boy, which was produced by Fred Smith of Television. But as often happens, the band fell apart after recording the follow up, Pearl Harbor, yet the Alpha Cat name stuck.

Alternative, independent DIY artist Alex Henry Foster officially released his “The Power of the Heart” concept music video preceded by Visions Magazine (DE), PROG Magazine (UK) and Mowno premieres. Filmed and produced by Jessie Nottola, the dream-like video already has over 192,000 views via YouTube alone since it released May 22.

Foreseeing his upcoming UK / European Summer tour Not All Wonders Have Been Lost, Alex Henry Foster releases a new video for The Power of the Heart today, a cover version of Lou Reed's (probably) most underrated song, yet a favourite for Laurie Anderson. Plus, check out upcoming tour dates!

The collection's title is not only a reference to the wealth of self-confidence that lives in each of us but also a nod to where the set of five songs was recorded (and Flory's adopted hometown): “It's a title that encompasses the thematic stories found on the EP, but Fort Worth, Texas, was also  once known as 'The Young Giant of the Prairie.'”

Beginning with band work in the UK, moving on to a wide range of experience as a session singer. Her first label signing was with disco king Giorgio Moroder in Munich, Germany in 1976, this included a single release called “Dr Funk (with Smiley)” plus a session for Giorgio on one of his own disco hits “I Wanna Funk with you Tonight.”

Obie Award winner Metropolitan Playhouse presents a festival of five one-acts by Tom Lavagnino, Natalina Lopez, Christian Missonak, Bara Swain, and Jonathon Ward.

Available now at digital and streaming outlets everywhere from Hopeful Tragedy Records, there is also a four-minute radio-ready mix and an eight-minute-27-second version of “The Power of the Heart” included with the single. There is further a lathe-cut vinyl, silkscreen-printed version that will will likely sell out within hours of its release.
