Door Shakespeare 2024 Summer Season Early Bird Tickets Available

Door Shakespeare have announced that tickets are available for the 2024 summer season, including two shows running in alternating repertory: William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, and Jane Austen's Emma, adapted by Joseph Hanreddy.

Theatre For Every Child Campaign Kicks Off With A Month Of Activity For School Kids In Collaboration With Theatres Across The Country

This week, The Society of London Theatre & UK Theatre launched their new campaign, Theatre For Every Child. The campaign aims to ensure every child visits the theatre before they leave school. While the industry is doing great outreach work, access is not equal: children from low-income families are less likely to have access to cultural experiences outside of school.

Review: HAMNET, Garrick Theatre

Maggie O’Farrell’s novel Hamnet explores grief and loss through the lens of Elizabethan society, reimagining the family life of the most celebrated playwright in England. Lolita Chakrabarti’s play enjoyed a fairly successful run in Stratford-upon-Avon and immediately promised a West End transfer. Under Erica Whyman, the production is a good-looking exercise in speculative history.

SOLT and UK Theatre Launch Theatre For Every Child Campaign

Society of London Theatre & UK Theatre have launched the “Theatre for Every Child campaign” ahead of the next general election. They are asking for politicians to commit that every child will attend the theatre before they leave school.
