Photo Flash: First Look at Production Photos of BABY Starring Alice Ripley and More

First photo of the Out of the Box Theatrics' limited engagement of Sybille Pearson (book), Richard Maltby, Jr.(lyrics) and David Shire's (music) heart-warming musical, BABY, are now available. The production has extended through Saturday, December 21, 2019 due to strong ticket sales. Directed and choreographed by Ethan Paulini, BABY stars Tony Award-winner Alice Ripley and plays a site-specific loft in midtown Manhattan (14 W 45th Street). Out of the Box Theatrics has released “First Look” photos of the cast of their upcoming limited engagement production of BABY. Featuring a book by Sybillie Pearson, lyrics by Richard Maltby, Jr. and music by David Shire's (music), the production will be directed and choreographed by Ethan Paulini at a site-specific loft in midtown Manhattan (14 W 45th Street), Friday, December 6 through Saturday, December 14, 2019. Alice Ripley Set to Star In Maltby & Shire's BABY in a Limited NYC Engagement

Out of the Box Theatrics' Founding Artistic Director, Liz Flemming announced today that Tony Award-winner Alice Ripley will lead the cast of a limited NYC engagement of Sybillie Pearson (book), Richard Maltby, Jr. (lyrics) and David Shire's(music) heart-warming musical, BABY. Directed and choreographed by Ethan Paulini, the production will play a site-specific loft in midtown Manhattan (14 W 45th Street) Friday, December 6 through Saturday, December 14, 2019. Autumn Hurlbert, Janice Landry, Samuel Garnica And Amanda Robles Will Star In New Musical LOVE AND YOGURT

Out of the Box Theatrics and New York Theatre Barn's co-developmental production of Aaron Morrill's Love and Yogurt will star Autumn Hurlbert (Something Rotten, Legally Blonde), Janice Landry (Dear Edwina), Samuel Garnica, and Amanda Robles (BSC's Into the Woods, Stages St. Louis' Man of La Mancha). The production will run from October 22nd through October 27th, 2019 at Theaterlab in New York City.

Tony Award-winner Alice Ripley has returned to the role of Trisha Lee in Elise Forier Edie's The Pink Unicorn in collaboration with Nancy Manocherian's the cell (338 W 23rd Street) Tuesday, August 13 through Sunday, August 25, 2019. Directed by Amy E. Jones, Ripley initially played a critically acclaimed limited engagement of the production, which was ultimately extended, in May 2019. Tickets currently on sale.

New Musical Comedy THE EVOLUTION OF MANN Opens Off-Broadway, Today

Nancy Manocherian's the cell (Artistic Director, Kira Simring), who produced last season's critically acclaimed World Premiere musical Bastard Jones, presents the New York Premiere of THE EVOLUTION OF MANN, a musical featuring music & lyrics by Drama Desk nominee Douglas J. Cohen (Children's Letters to God, The Opposite of Sex) and book & lyrics by Dan Elish (13: The Musical) based on his novel, Nine Wives.  Directed by Joe Barros (Bastard Jones), the production stars Max Crumm (Grease, Disaster!) in the title role, with Allie Trimm (13: The Musical and Bye Bye Birdie on Broadway) and Leslie Hiatt. Now in previews, opening is slated for Today, October 4.
