Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, in residence at Oakes Center at 120 Morris Avenue in Summit, will premiere its virtual improv show, The Flip Side: Halloween, on Facebook on Thursday, October 29 at 7 pm. The 30-minute performance is free, and after its debut it will be available on www.dreamcatcherrep.org along with all previous virtual Flip Side shows.

Ken Barnett (Off-Broadway's Too Much Sun, Amazon's Mozart in The Jungle), Kyle Beltran (Broadway's The Cherry Orchard and In the Heights), and Emily Bergl (Dirty John, Shameless) will star in a virtual workshop of Ken Urban's new play Danger and Opportunity on October 28, 2020 as part of Kane Repertory Theatre's New Play Lab.

The digital workshop begins at 7:30 PM CT on Youtube and will remain available until November 1st at 7:30 PM CT. A live talkback with playwright Ken Urban, director Mark Brokaw, and Kane Repertory Theatre AD Daniil Krimer will follow the reading. All of our readings are free to watch, but a donation of $25 is suggested.

Now in its seventh season of supporting emerging female writers The Farm Theater has awarded their 2020/21 College Collaboration Project Commission to playwright Lia Romeo (The Forest, featured on The Kilroys' List; NYIT Award nominee for Connected at 59E59). Ms. Romeo will collaborate with Centre College in Danville, KY (fall 2020) and Wells College in Aurora, NY (spring 2020). This will be Centre College's fourth time participating in The Farm Theater's College Collaboration Project.

This show will be accompanied by an exhibit of the works of Cyn Bird, a New Jersey visual artist, entitled a?oeImaginary Places.a?? Dreamcatcher's lobby serves as both a gathering place for the audience and also an exhibit space for local, professional artists whose work complements the onstage offerings of the company.
