Last night, the 2018-2019 class of Dramatists Guild Foundation Fellows presented excerpts of full length works at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center.

The 5th Avenue Theatre, Abingdon Theatre Company and Ann Ramsay-Jenkins presented a 29 Hour industry reading of Corner of Bitter and Sweet featuring a book by Lainie Sakakura, music & lyrics by Paul Fujimoto on October 23 at Theatre 71 in New York. THE GREEN ROOM 42 has announced that their sold-out residency for Reeve Carney, star of Broadway's Hadestown, has been extended through December 2019. His upcoming concerts will take place October 6, October 20, November 17, and December 29, all Sundays at 9:30 PM.

THE PERFECT FIT, a new family musical featuring book, music and lyrics by twelve-year-old musical sensation Joshua Turchin made its world premiere this month in a staged developmental production as part of the Rave Theater Festival. The show quickly became the toughest ticket to get for the Rave Theater Festival and sold out the entire run prior to opening.

The production will be making its world premiere in a staged developmental production that will run August 11 – 23 as part of the Rave Theater Festival.

2019 Tony winner Andre De Shields has been attending The National Black Theatre Festival® (NBTF) in Winston-Salem, N. C. since 1995. Dubbed the 'Black Theatre Holy Ground,' NBTF is the international outreach program of the North Carolina Black Repertory Company, founded by the late Larry Leon Hamlin in 1979. The Festival, also founded by Hamlin, has been held biennially since 1989. The NCBRC celebrated its 40th anniversary this year, while the NBTF celebrated its 30th.
