The digital theatre website Original Theatre Online has added David Morley's acclaimed drama A Cold Supper Behind Harrods to its productions available for members to stream online.   

The SB1116 California Coalition, whose efforts led to the passage and signing of California's Equitable Payroll Fund, was honored with two major awards in April: The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle named the coalition winner of the 2023 Gordon Davidson Award for distinguished contribution to the Los Angeles theatrical community, while Stage Raw bestowed its prestigious 'Queen of the Angels' award upon the group.

An unusual coalition of management and labor launched a kick-off event on Friday, January 27 to secure budgeting for SB 1116, the groundbreaking arts funding bill that passed the state legislature and was signed into law last year, but remains unfunded in the most recent budget. The Fountain Theatre’s hit production of If I Forget, written by Tony Award-winning playwright Steven Levenson (Dear Evan Hanson) and directed by Tony Award-winning actor Jason Alexander (widely known from TV’s Seinfeld), has extended through December 18, re-opening at the end of October following a brief hiatus.

Jason Alexander (also a Tony Award-winner) directs the cast of Síle Bermingham, Caribay Franke, Matt Gottlieb, Samantha Klein, Leo Marks, Valerie Perri, Jerry Weil and Jacob Zelonky. I had the opportune occasion to throw out a few queries to Jason, the well-known TV actor and respected L.A. Theatre community denizen.

Rogue Machine brings Frank Capra’s iconic holiday film, “It’s a Wonderful Life,” to the stage in this hilarious and heartwarming one-person show starring Leo Marks. Part fan frenzy and part tour-de-force, it’s a celebration of cinematic storytelling and the differences, big and small, that one person can make in the lives of others. 

In this drama, inspired by real characters and events, it is only as the three former agents depart for London in a taxi – for “a cold supper behind Harrods” – that the disturbing truth finally emerges.

Global Brain Health Institute, based at the University of California, San Francisco and Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin, has announced a second extension of the currently streaming virtual premiere of “UnRavelled” through June 30.

Original Theatre Company, in association with Perfectly Normal Productions, will reunite David Jason, Stephanie Cole and Anton Lesser, the original stars of the BBC Radio 4 play, A Cold Supper Behind Harrods, for a one night only, semi-staged, rehearsed reading to be live streamed from the stage of the Oxford Playhouse at 7.30pm on Friday 11 June.
