THE BLACK BOX Cabaret will present a special cabaret revue spotlighting the talents of promising young singers on Saturday, November 16 at 7:30 pm. Rising Stars Cabaret is presented in an intimate, nightclub atmosphere with professional accompaniment. Former rising stars have gone on to top musical theatre college programs and sung at New York City cabaret venues such as Broadway Sessions at the Laurie Beechman Theater.

This past Thursday at Broadway Sessions was exceptionally a?oeWickeda?? at the 5th Annual Elphaball! We added some Glinda's into the mix this year an had an absolute blast. Our iconic lineup included Eden Espinosa, Saycon Sengbloh, Cassie Okenka, Kristy Cates, and Maddy Trumble with fierce special guests; Ally Ivey, Elizabeth McMonagle, Imari Hardon and Karine Hannah. We had such a blast celebrating the past, present, & future of a show that is so near and dear to us and theatre fans everywhere!

Celebrating two years of performances highlighting the talents of transgender, nonbinary, and gender non-conforming performers, New York City's Trans Voices Cabaret returns to The Duplex on Saturday, November 9th at 9:30pm. The show is directed by TVC creator Donnie Cianciotto, with Musical Direction by Anessa Marie. Cianciotto will also serve as the evening's emcee.

Nancy McGraw brought her Johnny Mercer show, In the Cool, Cool, Cool of the Evening to the Laurie Beechman Theatre last night with Director/Music Director Mark Nadler. Ms McGraw presented Mercer's lyrics through the lens of their shared Southern heritage, based on a Mercer quote: 'If you want to ask what makes me tick, I would say that it is that I am from Savannah.'
