Two-time Tony Nominee and two-time Drama Desk Winner Gavin Lee made his Birdland debut with his solo show “Steppin’ Out with Fred Astaire” on Monday, May 29. Having played two Fred Astaire roles during his award-winning West End and Broadway career, Gavin, with a little help from Gershwin, Berlin, Porter, and a pair of tap shoes, filled the show with songs and stories that made Fred a true star of the Golden Age of Hollywood.
The musicians from Broadway's 'Hadestown' create a nightclub band as the 'Underworld Orchestra' and debut at Birdland Jazz Club in NYC. Featuring singers from the current hit Broadway show and showcasing instrumental and vocal R&B and Pop hits from the past 50 or more years...the show's unique arrangements were all created by members of the band.

“CASHINO,” the long-running LA and NYC cult hit made it’s debut at Birdland for one night only on Monday, April 3. Susie Mosher (Hairspray and host of Birdland’s “The Lineup”) and recording artist John Boswell starred as Pepper Cole and Johnny Niagra in the special concert version of the critically acclaimed multimedia musical show. Marci Kraft's cabaret show at Don't Tell Mama in NYC was an updated version of her popular 'Come Party With Marci' series of shows. Past shows were themed by decades and musical eras. The new incarnation features the songs of Broadway from past to present.
