The Public Theater will present the return of the theater’s acclaimed MOBILE UNIT with a free touring production of THE COMEDY OF ERRORS.

Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3’s production of AT THE WEDDING, a new play by Bryna Turner, directed by Jenna Worsham, returns tonight after a brief hiatus. The production will play an extended week of performances beginning tonight, Wednesday, May 18 at 7pm and run through this Sunday, May 23 at 7pm at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street). 

Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3’s  production of AT THE WEDDING, which was slated to resume performances on Monday, April 18 after a brief hiatus and run through Sunday, April 24, will now resume performances on Wednesday, May 18 and run 7 performances only through Sunday, May 22 at the Claire Tow Theater (150 W. 65th Street).

Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3 has extended the run of its production of AT THE WEDDING, a new play by Bryna Turner, directed by Jenna Worsham, through Sunday, April 24 at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street).  The production, which opened Monday, March 21, was originally scheduled to run through Sunday, April 17.

Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3 announced new dates for its world premiere production of AT THE WEDDING, a new play by Bryna Turner, directed by Jenna Worsham. The play will now begin performances Saturday, March 5 and run for six weeks only through Sunday, April 17 at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street).  Opening night is Monday, February 28.

Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3 will return this winter with the world premiere of AT THE WEDDING, a new play by Bryna Turner, directed by Jenna Worsham, which will begin performances Saturday, February 12 and run for six weeks only through Sunday, March 27 at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street). Opening night is Monday, February 28.

Performer and writer Christy Escobar (Dietland) is one of 3,000 New York City-based artists to receive $5,000 through the City Artist Corps Grants program, presented by The New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA), with support from the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) as well as Queens Theatre.

The Public Theater and WNYC Studios will debut the bilingual audio adaptation of Romeo y Julieta on Thursday, March 18. Featuring Lupita Nyong’o and Juan Castano as the star-crossed lovers, this world premiere production has been adapted by Saheem Ali and Ricardo Pérez González, based on the Spanish translation by Alfredo Michel Modenessi.

The Public Theater announced an array of free programming has been added to The Public's digital season. Though its physical stages remain dark, the additional virtual programming will include a bilingual audio adaptation of Romeo y Julieta co-presented with WNYC Studios featuring Lupita Nyong'o and Juan Castano as the star-crossed lovers.

As part of its new Words Matter initiative, The Workshop Theater will be presenting four newly-commissioned one-act plays by Sylvia Khoury, Charly Evon Simpson, Matthew Paul Olmos, and Lisa Ramirez on behalf of New Sanctuary Coalition.

New Ohio Theatre's 27th annual Obie Award-winning Ice Factory Festival opens tonight. The festival will be live-streamed online for the first time, and will feature four new works over four weeks, July 24 - August 15, 2020.

The Mobile Unit's free tours bring Shakespeare and other works to audiences who have limited or no access to the arts by visiting correctional facilities, homeless shelters, social service organizations, and other community organizations. Following the tour to the five boroughs, there will also be a free three-week engagement of CYMBELINE in The Public's Shiva Theater running Monday, May 18 through Sunday, June 7, with an official press opening on Thursday, May 21.

Yale Repertory Theatre presents the world premiere of GIRLS, after The Bacchae by Euripides, by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, with choreography by Raja Feather Kelley, directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz, October 4-26, 2019, at the University Theatre (222 York Street).
