The University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) has announced the selection of the nationally recognized firms Little Diversified Architectural Consulting, based in Charlotte, and Steinberg Hart, based in Los Angeles, as the design team that will lead Phase One of a multiphase, comprehensive renovation of the historic Stevens Center in downtown Winston-Salem.

The Celebrity Series of Boston announces its 2022/23 season today, marking 84 years of bringing touring and local performing artists to Boston.

Catch what’s on stage at the Spencer Theater this Summer Season 2022, a popping 13-week calendar of live music, special events and dining fun. The vibrant line-up includes everything from traditional western swing, contemporary folk, gospel and classic country, iconic rock and pop superstars, award-winning Mediterranean (flamenco/Greek) guitar, folk and surf rock legends, full-stage tributes, and children’s musical theatre. 

Songwriting is an art and a craft, and over the past six weeks, a group of students led by Samantha Cole and A.J. Gundell have learned the craft, honed the art and are ready to take the stage for their Singer Songwriter Showcase at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Monday, April 25th at 7:30pm.

Grammy award-winning artist Kathy Mattea released today a special rendition of Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real’s “Turn Off The News (Build A Garden).” The song was captured during a recent taping of Mountain Stage, the live performance radio program produced by West Virginia Public Broadcasting and distributed by NPR Music. “I haven’t fallen this hard for a song in a good long while,” stated Mattea. “It makes its point in such an elegant way. It’s very rare these days to see something so skillfully written, not provoking or aggressive, but not backing away from the issue either.”

Kicking off the month on January 1st is the 1945 musical comedy film Ziegfeld Follies, featuring Fred Astaire, Lucille Ball, Gene Kelly, Judy Garland, Fanny Brice, Lena Horne and more. The How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying film, based on the musical of the same name, is set to debut on January 4th.

 This year's benefit will be a virtual broadcast taking place the week following Thanksgiving from 7 - 9 p.m. and will feature music from Delbert McClinton, Ruthie Foster, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Max Frost, Shinyribs, Ray Benson, Marcia Ball, Band of Heathens, Jackie Venson, Sunny Sweeney, and more.

For nearly 40 years, Mountain Stage has been the home of live music on public radio. Since its inception in 1983, Mountain Stage has been under the creative direction of host and co-founder Larry Groce.

CMA Fest has announced additional performances and appearances at Xfinity Fan Fair X, CMA Fest's Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience, where fans get up close and personal with their favorite artists. Xfinity Fan Fair X returns to Music City Center for action-packed entertainment daily from 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM Thursday, June 6 through Sunday, June 9, featuring three stages with artist panels and performances, meet-and-greets, music and lifestyle exhibits, prize giveaways and more. Grammy winning Country music artist and renowned songwriter, Jeannie Seely, was on hand to introduce documentary segments and a performance honoring Loretta Lynn by Kathy Mattea at the “Country Music: Live at the Ryman, a Concert Celebrating the Film by Ken Burns.” on March 27.
