The California premiere of Nick Dear's adaptation of Mary Shelley's classic novel, FRANKENSTEIN, launches A Noise Within's 2019-2020 season August 11, 2019. Much in-demand director Michael Michetti helms Michael Manuel as The Creature and Kasey Mahaffy as Dr. Victor Frankenstein, presenting Shelley's tale from the atypical perspective of The Creature. Having seen Kasey in ANW's stunning MAN OF LA MANCHA and the hysterical NOISES OFF, I jumped at the chance to interview this talented actor/performer.

A Noise Within (ANW), California's acclaimed classic repertory theatre, is bringing back its smash hit production of Michael Frayn's hilarious off-the-wall comedy Noises Off for a limited engagement from May 21 through June 9, 2019. Reviving a critical and audience favorite for all to enjoy, ANW Producing Artistic Directors Julia Rodriguez-Elliott and Geoff Elliott will once again direct the play-within-a-play that pays homage to the art of theatre-making as chaos reigns onstage and off! The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle announced the recipients of its 50th annual awards for distinguished achievement in theatre last night, Monday, April 8, 2019, at Pasadena Playhouse. Wenzel Jones presided over the festivities, and Christopher Raymond served as music director.

The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle (LADCC), which presented its first awards for excellence in Los Angeles, Orange County, and Ventura County a half-century ago, has begun the gala celebration of its 50th anniversary by announcing its nominations for the year 2018 (Dec. 1, 2017 - Nov. 30, 2018).

A Noise Within,  California's acclaimed classic repertory theatre, is proud to present the play that made Tennessee Williams a household name, The Glass Menagerie. ANW Producing Artistic Director Geoff Elliott will direct the great American play that made its debut in Chicago in 1944 and a year later earned Williams the New York Drama Critic's Circle Award when it moved to Broadway. The Glass Menagerie performs from Feb. 24 through April 26. Previews begin Feb. 24 and press opening night is March 2.

ANW Producing Artistic Director Geoff Elliott directs. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead performs from October 7 to November 18 (Press Opening October 13).

A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, continues the cherished holiday tradition of presenting its well-loved production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol this year, onstage for the seventh holiday season. This time-honored tale of forgiveness plays 17 performances only, Saturday, December 1 through Sunday, December 23, 2018. By the time Shakespeare gets to the last of his history plays concerning the Wars of the Roses, HENRY V, the party boy who would be king has become a man. Gone are the indiscretions of youth seen in the earlier HENRY IV plays, which follow young Prince Hal on his escapades with Falstaff and the Eastcheap gang. When HENRY V opens, it is the responsibilities of a monarch that now weigh heavily on the new king's head, amid increasing tensions with France.

This year for the holidays, The Wallis has traded its typical musical theatre fare (Into the Woods/2014, Guys & Dolls/2015, Merrily We Roll Along/2016) for something a little less traditional but even more imaginative and fun Vesturport Theatre's THE HEART OF ROBIN HOOD by playwright David Farr.

The Heart of Robin Hood, a heart-pounding, eye-popping new adventure directed by Gisli rn Gardarsson and Selma Bj rnsd ttir from Iceland's innovative theater company Vesturport and the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts (The Wallis) starts first performance previews tonight, November 29, with an opening night set for Friday, December 1, and continues through Sunday, December 17.
