In its 114 year life the Dutch Treat Club has had a membership that included, Jimmy Cagney, George S. Kaufman, Walter Cronkite, Richard Rodgers, Oscar Hammerstein ll, and Presidents Hoover, Eisenhower, Truman, and Ford. The great Broadway producer George Abbot was a member for 52 years when he died at the age of 107. But enough about the past. This year this historic New York City institution which was founded by and for creative people decided to honor someone young, creative and contemporary, so they chose...Marilyn Maye…an artist for every generation.

Lynn University and Jan McArt, producer and director of theatre arts program development, today announced the season finale of the Mabel Mercer Foundation's Cabaret at Lincoln Center Comes to Live at Lynn with a performance by Karen Oberlin in Secret Love: A Tribute to Doris Day on May 15.

59E59 Theaters welcomes the US premiere of JULIE MADLY DEEPLY, written by Sarah-Louise Young with contributions from Russell Lucas and directed by Russell Lucas.

KT Sullivan brings her run of 'I Can Cook: When Barbara Met Wally' to the Birdland Theater in NYC for a 4 night run (Feb. 27th - March 2nd).

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets (MAC) has announced the 2019 MAC Award nominees. The nominees, in a majority of the categories, were determined by votes cast by the active MAC membership. Special committees selected the nominees in the Ensemble Instrumentalist, Piano Bar Instrumentalist, Piano Bar Singing Entertainer (Female; Male), Recording (LaMott Friedman), Major Recording, Song and Comedy/Novelty Song categories.

Kick off the New Year with not one but FOUR acclaimed Karens of cabaret, joining forces onstage for the first time! "Everything's Coming Up Karens," slated for Friday evening, January 25, features performances by Karen Oberlin, Karen Mack, Karen Gross, and Karen Kohler, with musical direction by Tedd Firth. This one-night-only show at NYC's supper club and cabaret hotspot Beach Cafe is not to be missed. Dinner at 8 pm, showtime at 9:30 pm. Lynn University and Jan McArt, producer and director of theatre arts program development, today announced that the popular Mabel Mercer Foundation's Cabaret at Lincoln Center Comes to Live at Lynn series will return for a third season on five Wednesdays January through May. Leading cabaret artists will present intimate evenings of song, story and joie de vivre in the Keith C. and Elaine Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center.

The Mabel Mercer Foundation put itself in a tricky spot to start this year's New York Cabaret Convention: how do you define what cabaret today looks like?

For three decades, the unofficial launch of 'autumn in New York' has been marked by the annual Cabaret Convention of The Mabel Mercer Foundation. This year, their four individual concerts will once again be presented at 6 p.m. at the Rose Theater, Jazz at Lincoln Center, beginning Today, October 9thand running through Friday, October 12th. More than seventy diverse vocalists -- ranging in age from seventeen to ninety -- are scheduled to entertain; thirteen of these will make their New York Cabaret Convention debuts during the 2018 performances.
