The Downtown Urban Arts Festival (Reg E. Gaines, artistic director; Creative Ammo Inc., producer) today announced its 19th year of new works for the stage by 16 playwrights at the Abron Arts Center (466 Grand Street, New York City) from Thursday, June 10 through Saturday, June 26, 2021. For the first time, theatre tickets will be free of charge.

The Downtown Urban Arts Festival today announced its 2019 artist line-up for the 17th annual multi-disciplinary arts festival showcasing music, poetry, live theater and film. The five-week Downtown Urban Arts Festival performs April 11-May 18 at Joe's Pub, Nuyorican Poets Cafe, The Wild Project and Tribeca Film Center, respectively.

In Spring 2019, the Downtown Urban Arts Festival (DUAF) will return for its much-anticipated 17th annual season. Reg E. Gaines, Tony-nominated for Bring in da Noise Bring in da Funk, is back as the Artistic Director of the festival. After his evaluation of scripts that were received from across the U.S., the following writers and their plays were selected as the finalists for the 2019 season.

David Rainey, Executive Artistic Director of The Landing Theatre Company (LTC), announces the company's eighth season, featuring the 2018 winners of its annual New American Voices Play Reading Series, a Co-Production with Obsidian Theater of the World Premiere of Alexis Schaetzle's Wanda, Daisy and the Great Rapture, the Regional Premiere of Christopher Chen's 2017 Obie Award-winning play Caught, and David Mamet's Off-Broadway hit Oleanna.

Downtown Urban Arts Festival (DUAF), an annual multi-disciplinary arts event -- with cultural offerings in theater, film, music and poetry -- presented in various downtown Manhattan venues, kicked off on Saturday, April 8th with a sold-out concert from legendary chart-topper Lisa Lisa ("I Wonder If I Take You Home," "Can You Feel the Beat," "All Cried Out," "Head to Toe," "Lost in Emotion") at Joe's Pub at The Public.
