Ma-Yi Theater Company is presenting THE CHINESE LADY, which officially opened last night, March 8, at The Public Theater. The Chinese Lady is written by Lloyd Suh and Directed by Ralph B. Peña.

Paper Mill Playhouse has announced auditions for the institution’s 2022 Summer Training Programs including the prestigious Summer Musical Theater Conservatory or the Musical Theater Intensive. Paper Mill Playhouse welcomes audition videos from students 10-18 years old.

Tony Award-winner Beth Leavel, Joshua Dela Cruz, and Ali Ewoldt, will be featured in 20 & UNDER SING 20 & OVER: ACT II, a virtual benefit concert celebrating Broadway musicals, written at least 20 years ago, by having young rising stars (ages 20 and under) pair up with Broadway stars from the Broadway or touring company of each show they are singing from.

Broadway Barkada today announced the release of a music video honoring essential workers and first responders during the COVID-19 pandemic. In conjunction, they have started up a GoFundMe page to help raise funds for one of their favorite small businesses, Jeepney, a Filipino restaurant in the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

Joshua Dela Cruz (Aladdin and host of 'Nickelodeon's Blue's Clues') and Amanda Dela Cruz ('The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel') have recorded a cover of the song 'Come Up for Air' (along with a video) from the new musical Ranked with book by Kyle Holmes and music and lyrics by David Taylor Gomes. 

Paper Mill Playhouse has announced the World Premiere of New Voices of 2020: Pure Imagination, a musical theater montage featuring students of the 2020 Summer Musical Theater Conservatory. New Voices of 2020: Pure Imagination will premiere on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 7:00 pm on Paper Mill's Facebook page and YouTube channel.

Just last spring, Sierra Boggess and Joshua Dela Cruz  led a staged reading of Richard Maltby, Jr., Karen Hartman, and David Shire's DANCERS AT A WATERFALL. Now, the two are reuniting to sing a song from the new musical. Boggess writes: 'This song expresses both lyrically and musically what is in our souls right now. Therefore, we wanted to debut this song in this way for all to hear too.'

Paper Mill Playhouse has announced an expansion of the theater's award-winning Theater School with the lease of a storefront building in Downtown Millburn.

-Nickelodeon is celebrating 20 years of its iconic SpongeBob SquarePants series with a brand-new high-flying balloon at the 93rd Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade®. The new balloon features everyone's favorite subaquatic sponge and his beloved pet snail Gary. The nationally televised holiday spectacle will also feature a brand-new float inspired by the network's highly anticipated preschool series Blue's Clues &You!, a remake of the groundbreaking interactive series, Blue's Clues, which premieres on Nov. 11, at 1 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.
