The Wilbury Theatre Group launches into 2018 with a bold new staging of Thornton Wilder's tragicomic masterpiece The Skin of Our Teeth directed by Wilbury Founder/Artistic Director Josh Short with music direction by Matt Requintina (Spring Awakening), January 18 through February 4 at their new home and performance space at 40 Sonoma Court, Olneyville.

The Wilbury Theatre Group proudly announces themselves as the recipients of a competitive Cultural Facilities Grant in the amount of $75,000. Administered by the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts, the grant will be used for upgrades to the Wilbury Group's new performance space at 40 Sonoma Court, Providence, including the implementation of improved HVAC, safety, accessibility, and acoustic upgrades.

The Wilbury Theatre Group proudly announces the Rhode Island premiere of Church by acclaimed playwright Young Jean Lee (2016/17's Straight White Men at The Wilbury Group) as she transforms her life-long struggle with Christianity into an exuberant church service, complete with a gospel choir. Directed by Brien Lang, Church will test the expectations of religious and non-religious alike looking deep into why we believe what we believe as an uplifting, joyous and inspirational event that may be Lee's most miraculous or devious experiment to date.

The Wilbury Theatre Group proudly announces the 4th annual Providence Fringe Festival, FRINGEPVD - to be held July 24-29, 2017. The premiere Fringe Theatre Festival in New England, FRINGEPVD has grown rapidly since its inaugural year in 2014. The 2017 Festival will bring together more than 300 individual theatre, music, dance, multi-media, and performing artists for five nights of performances in traditional and non-traditional performance venues throughout the Providence area.
