Signature Theatre has announced the cast and creative team for SOFT POWER.

With very few exceptions, musical theatre writers that have attempted to write the book, music, and lyrics for their shows do not succeed. Jason Robert Brown’s The Last Five Years is a rare example of one person successfully doing it all.

Today’s subject Marcus Yi is living proof that you can do it all and succeed in the theatre. Currently he is living his theatre life as the book, music, and lyric writer of the World Premiere Musical The Dragon King’s Daughter. The show runs from November 18th through December 17th in the Family Theater at Kennedy Center.

Village Theatre today announced that tickets are on sale now for the Village Originals Beta Production of Eastbound, a new bilingual musical about the unexpected meeting of two brothers from opposite sides of the world. Directed by Desdemona Chiang (Seattle Rep: The Winter’s Tale) and Music Directed by R.J.
